It’s absolute madness to do a daily commute to Glasgow from London with the expectation you would be fit to do a good job when you arrive. I can’t imagine Glasgow agreed to this ahead of his appointment. I wonder if Jason, like many academics (sadly and tbf) put research well above his teaching load. And I would be very interested whether or not the University then paid for the ensuing travel costs.

To be fair they’ve always had a massive crackpot streak, it just used to be more covet.
They‘re absolutely nowhere near a majority in an election so they can say what they want, even as a Lib Dem type coalition partner they’re decades away

Ooh I totally agree. I am a big fan of people turning off social media. I only really come on to tattle. I don't have Sm, however some people like jack seem to think thst being chronically online is a must!

At this point I don't think he did a daily commute, everything is odd and off and highly improbable.
If I was interviewing someone and found them jogging on the spot I wouldn't hire them even if the position was chair of the University of Jogging on the Spot.
