Loads of things. It was his friend doing the interviewing so it was quite informal and more of a chat than a constant stream of questions.
Too much to remember really, he sometimes prefers playing the villain than the good guy. He was initially considered as Willem rather than Jude in A Little Life. There are still plans that maybe thar will go to New York. He's happy with his level of fame - he wouldn't want to be more famous as it brings more press interest etc and he's a bit unhappy with the paps and press at the moment as they're bothering him a bit (didn't say cos he was dating but thats what they're publishing). He talked about the panic attacks he had while doing ALL. Who he admires - actors with a level of fame but still like to take time out from films to do theatre. He would do shakespeare but didn't specify what (joked he was annoyed he's too old for Romeo now). Tommy was originally not going to be killed off in happy valley but plans changed. He has to find something to like or sympathise with characters he plays - even the evil ones. Talked briefly about not having a great time at boarding school and a lot of kids are bullied and struggle cos of that. He's going to Japan for a couple of weeks in Jan, has his flights booked but nothing else planned. When asked where he saw himself in 10 years, he wants to continue on what he's doing, happy with the projects and work he's choosing but would like to have a family.

It's kind of disappointing that James is dating someone 14/15 years younger than he is. I'm his age and I know I would have nothing in common with a 25 year old. Unless it's just casual he's setting himself up for heartache again.

I don't think he's popular and well known enough to have the paparazzi outside his house.

?!So happy there is a James thread as I love him but he’s starting to annoy me a little with the endless comments on settling down and then dating a model.
She is Instagram famous, not a famous model or artist. She likes his stuff the minute he posts.
I’m 34 now but at 25 the last thing I thought of was settling down and have babies so he’s either lying again or not wanting a child until he’s 45 odd

He's definitely changed a bit since he's become more popular. I liked him because he dated real women and not Instagram z list nobodies. My opinion has really changed on him. He's a bit of a hypocrite.
I feel it’s like a mid life crisis but he’s only 39 and maybe just happy that these younger models are into him. I just can’t see how you go to Imogen Poots to her. Imogen is insanely intelligent and very posh and private; like him. The model is very public and social media driven

The comments when it was published that he was dating this girl were mostly negative and the articles themselves seemed almost like an advert about the girl. One of them called the paps.
I noticed he’s on social media way more too and follows anyone and everyone. He’s changed for sure. Regressed.

I loved him and Imogen as a couple. I became a fan of hers because of their relationship. She's incredibly talented and looking amazing lately I hope she won't be single for too long (unless she decides that's what she wants). I liked Jessie Buckley too. Personally I wouldn't be surprised if it was both of them that called them. I find it hard to believe the paparazzi are outside his house. I think I've gone right off him.

Agree about the paps, he’s only ever on the DM if he’s at an event or an interview and now it’s care free strolls near his home two days in a row.
He’s probably met all these younger models on Raya and got a right ego boost from it. I noticed he started following the Charlotte one in August or September along with other models.
Agree with all these comments, sad but true, it must be tough when you get so famous and adored, not to let it go to your head, I met him quite a few years back after a play he did, was so surprised how lovely and down to earth he was, he chatted to me and my friend for a while. Hope he’s not changed too much.
He probably has. Something about him screams "covert narcissist" especially lately.
That's what I was thinking too he definitely met them on Raya. What other models does he follow? I haven't really noticed any others.
