Ah beautiful to be reminded of his performance. I wonder if they will censor his nudity for the cinema stuff?! 🤔 mostly for his protection. I thought that must have felt so vulnerable for him. I know he’s a professional but the car chase scene in particular, was so hard to watch. And I thought I would enjoy seeing him naked 😆
It was 'nicer' seeing Luke naked really, poor James' nudity was such horrendous circumstances and it was difficult to watch. I think censoring it for the cinema would be a mistake, it adds to the story and makes what Jude suffered feel so much worse.

It's interesting seeing the up close stuff on stage in the advert because I know those bits were filmed on the day I was there like when the father burnt his hand.

After seeing the ad I went and booked a second cinema screening 🙈

I wonder about the nudity too. I thought we’d never see a recording of it because of the nude scene but maybe they’ve recorded it from certain angles so you don’t get a full front view at any time

Hearing the Jude voice again after watching Happy Valley really cements how talented he is. It’s hard to even tell it’s the same actor

To my English ears it sounded good 🤣. Wonder what a native Northern Irish person thinks. I might get a friend to watch it to find out 🤣.

I can't remember how the dancing was during the filmed shows. Earlier in the run James would try and move his leg by grabbing at Jude's trousers and tapping his foot lile he was dancing - but the last few I went to especially they desperately clung to each other and seemed ro get more emotional. I wonder which we'll get at the cinema!

That’s an interesting thought actually. I saw it in May and I’m sure they tweaked the show along the way so the filmed version isn’t identical to what I saw at the Pinter theatre

I still don’t think I’ll be able to see it at the movies though because I can’t go to Copenhagen when it’s being shown over there

Yesterday I watched an old episode of Graham Norton where James was on with Jamie Dornan. I think I fall a little bit more in love with him everytime I see him - even more so when you see what an absolute sweetheart he is. I really want to know if Jamie got to see A Little Life because he seemed really excited when James said he was going to be in it!

I got 4 and half episodes in then wimped out as I knew he'd be dying at some point. Then I put on Nowhere Special cos I'm a twit, got 15 mins in - cried then turned that off 🤣. Now rewatching the Graham Norton interview cos happy and smiley James is a tonic compared to dying or dead james 🤣

Had a bit of a sesh watching James interviews on YouTube and there was a really interesting one he did about diabetes. I didn't realise that both his mum and sister are type 1 too!

That’s one of my favorite interviews! He’s so animated and a great storyteller! Those stories about how he goes to look out a window to drink his glucose aid and the cast in shows bringing him a cup of “tea” and snacks because they think he’s gone hypo are hilarious. Plus he looks amazing in that interview 😍

Anybody else seeing the play in cinemas tonight?
Yes! Just back. I have read the book so I knew what to expect but I feel I need a support group after that. It was incredible. I feel emotionally wrung out after so I can only imagine how the cast are doing that every night. Massive respect to them all.
