Christ, I'm not sure I could cope with more than once, I do have my cinema ticket for it booked though.
I saw Brokeback Mountain the other week and whilst nowhere near in the same league, it was great and I met the cast after, the guys were friendly but didn't stick around after autographs and selfies, however I had a lovely chat with Eddi Reader, no one else seemed interested in her, or else had never heard of her but I'm old so I knew!

Funnily I went to see Brokeback Mountain for a second time for the evening show yesterday, clearly me and my mate wanted to emotionally destroy ourselves 🤣. Last time I went i got a signed programme so this time just got selfies, they're both very sweet lads.

I think A Little Life is utterly compelling and it hurts so much to watch, but the play is such an incredible piece of work and the performances so amazing that it keeps me coming back. The small moments of happiness make your heart swell so much and the tragedy breaks it in half. I guess I like my plays to properly make an impression. I've met a fair few people who have been multiple times since it's not just me who is a glutton for punishment.

I read the book after I saw the play for the third time and I cried more because I was alone in my house and not surrounded by people. When I saw it Tuesday night there were a hell of a lot of people around me crying quite loudly, the most I've noticed so far. Sometimes you just can't keep it in whereas I'm more of a silent tear rolling down my cheek kinda gal.

Saw 'A Little Life' again today and it's truly mind blowing that James can put his absolute all into Jude, yet is still able to keep an eye on his blood sugar levels throughout the show. He stuck himself a few times at the matinee - imagine trying to keep in the character mindset while also keeping your own health in mind. An amazing guy!

Talking to myself but it's the last A Little Life tonight, I had a ticket but train strikes and work made me sell it. I panicked as it was the last week and ended up booking extra tickets and I'm glad I did! Unfortunately i also got my first show stop, but the way the stage manage comes on, ushers the cast off and then they all come back on was very smoothly done.

James was an absolute sweetheart at the stage door Wednesday night - I blathered on and admitted how many times I'd gone to see the play and I said I know I'm crazy 🤣. He gave me a little hug which I will never ever shut up about.

They had their wrap party Thursday night after the show so thought I'd share a pic in here.

oh what was the show stop for, do you know?j

Also, I love him and all that but he has the funkiest style and I am not sure I mean that as a compliment. I don’t know, his outfits (unless he’s obviously been styled or it’s a tailored outfit) just look odd most of the time 😅

I admit I was at both the matinee and evening that day and both shows had a stop. I was chatting to one of the people that work there and one was a fainter in the circle and the other was someone who was sick over themselves in the stalls. I was on the stage seats so could see it happening - the stalls especially was a bit of a commotion and the cast froze before the stage manager came out to usher them off. My friend was at the matinee today and there were 2 stops within a few mins of each other- both fainters!!

Yes his style is interesting 🤣, I'm not sure im a fan of some of his choices but at least he's unique!

Wow, that sounds intense. I think someone fainted in the top balconies too when I saw it but it didn’t stop the show though.

Those 2 shows people left the stage seats too. Funny to have gone so many times and then 2 on the same day has stops and people going!

The show is intense, it had very hard subject matter and a lot of blood. I can sort of understand people feeling a little uneasy with it but I also find it weird to have that powerful a reaction.

Yeah, I can imagine that it’s even more intense if you’re sitting on the stage. But it’s also the kind of play where you know what you’re going into. I mean, most people that go have probably read the book (it’s not the kind of show that you go to see spontaneously, I assume) and they are very clear in the promotion material that it’s going to be intense and graphic

Very true! I hadn't read the book but knew it had a lot of trigger warnings, there were plenty of them so it was probably hard to go in knowing nothing at all.

Does anyone know what’s next for him? I know the Bob Marley movie is coming out. But does he have other things lined ud? Besides taking a well deserved break, lol

I went Friday night 😁🥰. My second time seeing it. I saw the first time at The Harold Pinter back in May 😍🥰. Loved it.
Aw he's so lovely isn't he. And the play is brilliant! I might as well share one of my stage door pics as well then since you did 🤣.

Wow, he’s either crazy busy or just insane for not taking time off 😅

Very much enjoyed that! I think his Vicar role in Granchester was his least attractive. 😆( give me bad boy TLR over Sidney anyday) Anyone else seen him in that?
I loved him in Granchester! And he was in the 2020 Greta Gerwig Little Women, as John, one of the sisters’ husband.
He’s very easy on the eye!

I'm attempting to work my way theough his back catalogue and so far he's been great in everything. Shout out to 'Nowhere Special' as he was fantastic! Next on my list is 'War and Peace' but I think I have to be in the right mood.

You're in for a lot of treats. I loved The Trial of Christine Keeler, McMafia and Happy Valley. Bonobo is a good movie too James spends a lot of time naked 😜

Nowhere Special was incredible, shot in such a simple way but really got me 😭
War and Peace was when I first noticed his beautiful face, the dance scene is 👌🏻
