James & Clair Buckley

I think James is worrying about the future with only the one income since lazy Clare seems to have took extremely early retirement.

And why does a unemployed woman need to use Helio Fresh, she has all day to go to shops and cook a meal
Hello Fresh is only mentioned if they have a code or a paid Ad,other than that its multiple take aways. Personally working over 40 hrs a week,id never waste money on the Hello Fresh boxes, ive look up the recipes online and buy my own ingredients. I totally agree, his concerns are more long term, but I think he's been his own worst enemy in the past, turning down work. I honestly think James thought the Inbetweeners would be a steady pay check for many years. He keeps saying 'this bloody play',it's his job,he should be grateful he got a second chance, when you're in an industry that is so fickle and inconsistent, you can't turn down work, especially when you've got a wife who doesn't work, but loves to spend and you've got kids
---
I'm surprised if money is tight, he's still the most popular on cameo at £40 a time.
That only lasts so long when hes the one working now and again,Claire doesn't work, but loves to spend, he also has to pay his management a percentage. I'd hate having that kind of worry, especially when you like to live and portray a certain lifestyle

That's a very fair point which I hadn't thought of!
And James does has a tendency for expensive clothes etc!!

He could be on the Spectrum?..

I'm in another thread ( the Sullivan's) and the youngest boy won't go to the barbers and he's getting assessed for autism
Or you know he likes long hair even with ridiculous gender conforming comments from morons like yourself

My youngest son had long hair and the amount of comments we got from family members telling us to cut it was unbelievable! He does have short hair now but it was when he got older he said he wanted it short. When it was long it was so soft and lovely condition and ever since it’s been short it’s now like straw 🤣

Like why do other people feel the need to comment on other people's children's appearance, we're all well aware about large shaming and skinny shaming etc yet people think they have free reign to comment on other people's childrens appearances. I think long hair is gorgeous on boys and girls and I think short hair is gorgeous on girls and boys, and I think the most gorgeous is a child loving how they look without interfering old bleeps commenting 😅🫠

Yes it is rude and loads of people used to think he was a girl! It wasn’t intentional for him to have long hair as his brother didn’t but he just had lovely soft hair that grew quickly and suited him.

I thought the comment saying it must be because Clair wanted a girl was ridiculous!

If she never showed her boys hair or spoke about her boys life, we wouldn't

She showed a glimpse of his hair and you assumed it's long because she wanted a girl it's unhinged and I genuinely pity your kids/future kids if that's how your brain works it's genuinely concerning that an adult thinks that way. Do you also put on a nice frock and clean the house and have dinner in the oven when your husband gets in and his slippers waiting?

I wear my apron too

In general i really like the Buckley's
i enjoy their channel most of the time but I have to say i think Jude's hair looks awful it's very messy and straggly and as boy mum myself I wouldn't personally be sending my son to school looking like that just on the grounds of head lice, it's going to get in his eyes all day and he just looks so bloody unkempt.

If like @Telly Fanatic dared to suggest it's because he may issues around getting it cut then fair enough equally Clair may well in fact have her own reasons for not wanting him to have it short but for me it's the sending your kids out in the world looking like scruffy urchins that I can't abide and if that's 'unhinged' then so be it 😂

I think Claire thinks the boys "supercool" with his hair long and makes home more edgy🙄the boys likely been brainwashed into thinking he's elite with his long hair.

Sarah Inghams the same, she thinks she so in trend because her boys hairs long🙄, when we all know that the boy actually looks bloody ridiculous.

We’ve had idiots tell us we must think we’re cool (the only time either of us has ever been accused of being cool), edgy or we wanted a girl because our son has long hair. We always dry answer that we’re Sikhs, but they usually carry on with their long rants, always amusing when the same idiot is gushing over our daughters long hair.

They must reeeally be fed up struggling for content. I'm willing to bet James wasn't necessarily dashing to film himself in his hotel in that last one, giving the play by play about how they had to go get his clothes, and then even filming the interview. I bet that was more a matter of Clair not wanting/ having any content at home and it was either telling him here you take it and come up with something, or nothing.

I always think it would be really rough to be a youtuber once you start not to enjoy it or lack content or if the thing you're trying to film very much varies depending on many factors. Like they're not always out or travelling like some, or have jobs that they can regularly film everything on that they know people click on every time, but sometimes when the fodder for the vlogs IS your life and you're burning out, it's bound to be like this.
Also James could do more work related stuff and literally just tag the camera along all day but he doesn't at all seem like one who'd wanna do that. I honestly don't even blame him; I think them getting their start during the pandemic is what made it seem like they could "go all the way" with this thing, and with YT as saturated as it is with people trying to get their subs up in competition, it's just gonna be an uphill battle it seems.

I did YT for a good few years trying to promote my channel, myself.. etc also in as honest a way as possible, like without clickbait etc and it was just soul-sucking trying to keep up, and I'm just a nobody! so I know they maybe thought they could take it to like 500-600k or 1mil subs or something but it's just suuuper hard, especially if you're starting to slow down or you don't have some sort of provocative content, probably why they pushed them to get into reels.

I agree its got to be difficult, but James in particular is quick to jump for sponsors or begging for freebies. I remember him constantly begging for lego freebies,he was after one of the huge star wars kits, nearly £700,lego sent him an Eiffle Tower kit,you could tell he was disappointed . James loves all the free stuff, but doesnt want to put in the work required to film etc. I honestly think Claires had enough because she's probably left doing the bulk of the work, while he swans around playing the celeb. He wants easy money for minimal work. He whines about the play, rather than thinking it's work earning him money. I genuinely believe he'd be happy at home with Claire, because in his mind he's missing out when he's not with her. Social media was another source of income, they've even ditched the podcast. Claire appears to see her roll as taking care of the home and James is responsible for providing financially, sadly he doesn't appear to want to put the work in. They appear to have a nice lifestyle,id be worried if my husband or partner had the same mindset as James when it comes to work. His agent/manager will also take his/her cut. Cameos will only last for so long while he keeps himself relevant. He openly admits he's turned down lots of work, now he rarely gets asked to audition ,never mind actual job offers
