I thought the gift of a real human skull was horrible. I wouldn't have it in the house as I think it would be bad luck or something.
I have to admit I found it disrespectful, As a nurse I know how important it is for people to donate their bodies to science when they pass, but then for parts of their body to then be sold off for decoration is disgraceful. The person may have died in the 1960s,but its still important to remember he was a person and not just a skull for morbid fascination and be used as a decoration. I have an issue with someone profiting from the sale of the skull

I always find it funny when these two advertise food supplements or meal prep boxes, they eat nothing but processed foods or take aways or freebies from neighbours or friends.I suppose when you're lazy but need the money you'll sell absolutely anything. His cameo messages are the ultimate lazy option.
Omg who isn't promoting Symprove these days? Really puts me off ever trying it tbh.
I haven't watched a video of theirs for ages tbh - but last time I was surprised at how unkempt James was tbh. Plus he's got to that age where you can't just keep eating rubbish and effortlessly stay slim.
For some reason with his hairstyle he always reminds me of that badly repaired fresco 😂

^ just saw a story from James sitting in the theatre basically asking for cameos, and for some reason this one struck different and left a bad taste. He said “ 40 quid, what more could you want” ( or something like that I forgot) and it’s just that so so many people cannot make ends meet right now, I mean I’m in the USA and can’t even swing doctors visits right now.
It was tone deaf and came off as only coming on to drum up business for both the play and cameo.

I felt they were really humble at the start, so either they’re just part of the greed machine and want to live lavishly or are actually struggling for money right now? Idk it’s just… fizzling out for me

Yes disrespectful is the word. And distasteful.
I was looking up sites that sell them (which I disagree with anyway) and it's quite strictly regulated. You need a licence to buy one and there are only certain circumstances they can be displayed. Not sure having one on your bookcase counts.
I sometimes think Clare's interest in the macabre is a bit shoved on anyway tbh. I hate that serial killer mug she has. She seems to find all that stuff glamorous for some reason.

I genuinely felt sad for her. James on the other hand is a complete twat. Sorry but all the money in the world wouldn't be enough for me to tolerate his alcoholic selfish behaviour
Yeah I think for Clair Paisley was her girl, you can imagine when the boys are at school all day and James goes off to tit about as he puts it that her and Paisley had each other there all the time, shes probably really feeling Paisleys absence the most .

James imo is like many men anything be it children or a much loved pet that takes attention off themselves they just seem to bounce back when they go...... arseholes.

This week supposedly Claire had issues uploading the vlog,as ususl prior ro Wednesday she posted almost daily, then claimed it was taking too long to update, then no further mention of whether the vlog will be up or not. James has been posting on IG, but not a mention of the vlog,I dont think either of them could make it any clearer they couldnt care less about the vlogs or podcast. Last weeks vlog had clearly been filmed at least 2 weeks earlier. They clearly want the sponsorship and freebies but don't want to do the work. Claire will use the excuse of laundry, cleaning and the kids, although the kids are 10 and 12 and entertain themselves and poor James having to work for a few months has probably overwhelmed him,no daytime drinking or just generally doing sod all. Imagine if James had to work in the real world to provide for his family

Probably one of their laziest publicity stunts. Why bother vlogging or getting off their backsides to advertise their channel, just let gullable subscribers who genuinely don't see how little interest James and Clair have. They're expecting followers to provide content for the podcast and now publicise their social media and podcast for them. #Grifters
It's mad how I've gone off these two so much. I loved their lockdown videos. I really liked them both. But I steadily got a massive ick and haven't watched anything for about a year.
They're both just so lazy and just patently use their following when they want something.
It all seems so inauthentic now. Just can't be bothered.

Oh wow an actual vlog. Curious to see what everyone’s take on it is.
It lasted 16 minutes, that included an Ad. I genuinely think they had a contractual obligation to post the Hello Fresh Ad. I loved the old vlogs when it was them at home or with their neighbours. Unless they start posting regularly I won’t believe the vlogs aren't for anything other than Ads or sponsorship

Definitely flirting to other guys. If James wasn't popular (back then) she wouldn't have looked at him. I've always thought she's a lazy gold digger.

How ironi James and Claire are on pointless celebrities,Claire introduced herself as professional mum and accidental YouTuber, surely to be a YouTuber she would need to actually create and post content. Absolute liar claiming they post every week.Id love to know when this episode was filmed, because they've not posted a vlog in months. Clair has become a professional grifter on IG, posting Aff links and undeclared Ads and Gifted items, but no real content. Pod cast is regularly posted because it's probably left to someone else to do all the editing etc.
I still don’t even get why they started the podcast and threw so much more effort into that than the channel, as in making it their bread and butter. It seems the channel and laid back videos is what people were wanting more than the podcast, but all the work went into the latter. I wonder if it’s because they just go into London once a week or whatever and record and then like you said someone else just edits them, and promotes them. I guess in the pandemic days when they started it wasn’t a burden and they just filmed the daily doldrums which ended up being what grew their channel because everyone loves that kind of thing when it isn’t try-hard, ditto myself. Maybe the pressure of trying to be entertaining, especially for James, is one of the reasons they did the podcast instead? But they still have to be entertaining there don’t they lol so that’s what I get for trying to make sense 😂

Maybe I’m a total square but not sure this is the sort of pic I’d be posting as a mother of two almost teenagers who wants to be taken seriously as a family blogger/podcaster. Each to their own but I can see how it’s attracted the kind of comments it has.

I was watching Gogglebox with my OH and he knows nothing about the Buckleys. Or celebrities in general tbh which is mega frustrating when I've tried to explain for the third time 'who tf' Ashley Banjo is 😂
Anyway he just kept saying about Clair 'who is that incredibly hard faced woman?'
I thought they were both quite flat on it tbh. When it really should have suited them.

I think James originally thought it would be easy money, not realising the amount of work involved. James comes across very lazy, treating Clair like a glorified housekeeper, in turn she often comes across resenting him and taking every available opportunity to make fun or belittle him. After seeing old interviews with Clair, back when she was a glamour model, she openly admitted she wanted to marry someone rich so she didn't have to work and would have 'staff',although they have a nice lifestyle I get the feeling it's not the celebrity life of luxury she wanted. James is tight fisted until he's spending money on himself. I loved the original down to earth vlogs, was much more relatable, then they started involving their so called celebrity friends which came across very pretentious, where are vlogs with their neighbour John were funny and enjoyable
