Not to mention the severe arthritis and autism and ADHD and the veganism, which has now been abandoned.

Jack is quite the... unreliable narrator, as it were. Everything she says and does and identifies with paints her as a victim. And so much of it doesn’t add up.

When she first got famous, living in grinding poverty with a toddler, she was living in Southend with her parents nearby. Parents that she was never estranged from IIRC? Unless she went into hiding (and Southend isn’t a big place!) I fail to see how her family couldn’t have intervened and seen her right - not to mention her child.

Then she moved with with Allegra McEvedy and it looked like her happily ever after, except they broke up (over Jack’s trans phase I believe) and then she seemed to be in poverty again, talking about using her oven to keep herself warm and writing “budget” recipes again. It didn’t ring true. She’d had a reasonable amount of success and it seemed (to me at least) that this image was something she decided to start projecting again because that’s what she was known for.

The Kickstarter book debacle was awful. She refused to update the page in the end, promising that she would (or getting her “assistant” to do it) but never did. People were demanding their money back in droves and she just ignored it all.

I actually feel a bit sorry for Jamie Oliver (never thought I’d say this!) he’s just accepted a job and probably had no idea she even wanted it and now he’s getting called a wanker and all sorts on twitter.

It’s a two week gig. She just sent out an email. A very disingenuous and faux reticent about everything including talking about how she will still only draw the living wage.

Yawn, the whole ‘I will draw the living wage is so dull’. When the rest of the money is paid into your account for later dates, it is such an invalid point.
The only good thing to come out of this is that the BBC will realise how shite her recipes are, and that will be the end of the show.

That screenshot prompted me to look at his Instagram post. Didn't realise it's a 5 times a week show starting Monday. She's admitted how long it takes for her to do 6 minutes on This Morning, of course they're going to pick the pro who has presented for years. I would prefer a more diverse casting for the job (most telly chefs are white men) but given the turnaround picking the person they can drop in at short notice makes sense.

God she's a twat. She didn't invent cooking using tins. JO is a huge name, of course he's more likely to get the gig than her. Her presenting style is dreadful, very nervy and unsure of herself, puts you on edge watching it.

I was a student from 1991-94 and had a "cookery book" that was all about using cans and cheap store cupboard ingredients to make meals. I was initially intrigued by her concept but frankly I think her recipes are awful and taste of despair. I feed my family cheaply but well because it is what working class women and peasant women have done since time began.

She is obsessed about wanting journalists to write about her, constantly goading them with tall tales about her past - 'I was a prostitute' 'I sold shots in a nightclub in lingerie' etc. Today on Twitter she's berating journalists for calling her a 'chef', apparently this 'pisses off' real chefs. I'm sure no 'real chefs' give 2 hoots about her but she is determined to believe that everyone is obsessed by her as she is by herself.
BBC have made a real mistake employing her which they will no doubt discover in the next couple of weeks.

Please don't let that be cheap PVA glue she's using !!

For any photo let alone ones you're selling it should be official photo glue. It's acid and lignin free, drys quickly and can be removed easily. In no time the photographs she's selling will be warping and disintegrating - even with acid free PVA glue (photo glue doesn't come in large bottles only tubes).

One of her books is #14 in Amazon right now and a handful of others are in the top 1000 best sellers at the moment. Hasn't she said she makes 15% of the sale price before?

I bet she's making thousands a month just from the booksales alone at the moment. Then add in the patreon money, the begging donations on social media, the support me postcards, media fees, affiliate links, adverts on her website and even without the lucrative corporate events she's still earning very well indeed. Freelancers work isn't known for being secure and if you've been through a hard time you would definitely prepare for the lean times.

This is really upsetting me I wish I could ignore it but there is something in my soul that will not turn away from a person being so cruelly picked on. He hasn't even done anything, not that it would be okay if he had.
She is gloating and being fucking horrible about Jamie Oliver, still! Even though she's got her own show, she's still going for him.
It is disgusting. She has a lot of followers, 265k of them. And she's being a bitch about him, to 265k people.
What exactly is his crime? Why does she think he deserves this? I think she is disgustingly unprofessional and cannot believe that the BBC have employed her after this shitshow. I can only imagine that they are hoping this car crash TV will pull in the viewers, and that her horrible bitching will be free publicity.
I actually hope that this blows up in her face. I think she's a fucking horrible piece of work and she needs a good dose of #bekind.

I’ve never been much of a fan of Jack. Read a bit of her blog years ago after reading the Hunger post elsewhere and at the time (and I still do) sympathised with her situation. I read some of her recipes on The Guardian which usually got a lot of negative comments and decided her style of cooking just doesn’t appeal to me. The more I read about the things she posts on Twitter the more I dislike her. I’m not much of a Jamie fan either but he’s been on Channel 4 for years. As a last minute cobbled together cooking show for these shit times he’s a safe bet and he’ll draw in the audience. She seems to begrudge his success and she’s only backpedaling now she has a BBC show and she’s worried what will be said about her.

Jack is just proving why no one should ever use her for a project. When you have a TV show commissioned it's easily 20-30 people involved in the project and a volatile twat like her could cost everyone their job.

I bet she's ecstatic that Boris Johnson addressing the nation clashes with the first episode of Jamie's show.

She wears it as a badge of pride that she's released 7 books and has a successful media career but apparently can't buy a house. Where has all the money gone? She can't be all virtuous about underpaying herself while keeping all her finances a secret. She should be embarrassed she's begging for money rather than being able to support herself from her successful career.

There are alot of people who have come from honestly shitty, terrible backgrounds, poverty, dv, the lot, lives so much worse than hers, and they have picked themselves up and forged a wonderful life for themselves away from what once was, and they are normally proud to show what they have achieved, how they have achieved it and use their money and expertise/experience to help others, but not Jack, Jack is a forever victim, still begging for money, despite 7 books and a TV show, plus all the other work she seemingly does for 20hrs a day, she makes it clear she doesn't work for free, plus a fiancee who is going to be in a very well paid position at ch4, so where is all the money going? Where has it gone? We know she claims to only pay herself the living wage but the the people who pay her don't pay her a living wage it's alot more than that, it infuriates me that this woman sits on twitter begging for money and people give it to her I don't know what annoys me more Jack or the people who fall for her lies, how can they not see through her bullshit?
