She's deleted nearly 46'000 posts on twitter since last week. Probably as part of an audit and cleanup for this BBC show.

Agreed @Yel I think it’s really disgraceful for her to be asking for tips after spreading those absurd falsehoods around her just scraping by on a living wage herself, she has a partner on huge money & financial security. It’s really shitty goings on and I hope someone calls her out for it, there’s a time & place to make your £ and this crisis is not one of them. I don’t keep up w Joe Wicks but hasn’t he just donated a ton to the NHS? Shame Jack can’t follow suit.

On Twitter yesterday she was telling her followers that she didn't have house insurance because of the trauma of once being poor. Nobody calls her out on this type of statement, very hard to believe that a couple on the combined income of her and her partner with phones, laptops etc wouldn't have insurance? Yet everyone seems to swallow what she says without question.

She is delusional. She thinks she is so important and vital. Everyone is hanging on her every word. The 'I don't agree with bullying but....' just about says it all.
I find her quite odd and scary tbh. A bit of a professional victim justifying every nasty thing she does - just like Roxanne Palette on Big Brother accusing people of hitting her when camera footage showed she was lying.

I had to stop following her but the adhd as her latest thing doesn’t surprise me. I know people in my own life like this, there’s always ‘something’ going on with them. It sounds serious and concerning when you first know them but over time you relaise there is a new thing every month and it’s about attention.

I know exactly what you mean. I have a friend like this and I'm at the stage now where I just don't want her as a friend anymore.

She rings and messages me constantly lurching from one alleged 'crisis' to another, from her supposedly abusive alcoholic husband to the guy she's having an affair with who apparently is just after her money, which she apparently doesn't have any of because every second sentence is about how she can't afford something. She has to take the kids to her mother's for food because she can't afford any, but 5 minutes later she's going away for the night with the other guy and she has to pay for it because he doesn't have any money.
She has a different medical problem every week and I'm convinced she has Munchausens because she's always at the GP and she seems to take the kids there every 5 minutes too, so I suspect Munchausens by proxy too.

Sorry, I've gone a bit off topic there, but I needed to get that off my chest!

But yes, that's Jack Monroe to a T. An attention seeker who thrives on drama.

I follow out of interest, she's onto a good thing with the books but some of her tweets are intense! I think she enjoys the attention.

The cause is good, but I doubt her intentions. I think it's just something for her to latch onto to further herself. She makes most of her money from thousands for speaking or appearance fees. Lots of middle class people rave about her, but something is very off with her.

Why would she rave about how much Mrs hinch has changed her life? All that silly cleaner does is encourage people to use loads and loads of chemicals everyday.

Jack Monroe was double dipping on that tweet hoping to get noticed by headspace to do an Ad for them. All to further herself.

Lots say she's stolen the recipes in her books from blogs also.

So glad I've found this forum, I thought I was alone at seeing through her s***.
I work in publishing and she posted something that while wasn't an outright lie it definitely was a misleading half truth. I replied to kindly point out that wasn't quite the case and Jack Monroe: Don't you think I know that, I've released 6 books you know.
No Jack Monroe I don't think you knew that because your tweet showed a lack of knowledge. She's always arrogant and unfriendly. I definitely don't want her given screen time. You want warm, friendly, comforting people on TV, everything Jack Monroe isn't. I don't think she even cares about poverty and anyone other than herself. She wants to be a famous face and if it wasn't food banks she hitched herself onto it would be some other cause to further herself.

I don't really know much about Jamie Oliver, but I feel sad for him with this. "Be kind" is clearly only when it suits people..

I'm all for people being called out when they have done something shitty, but all he has done is accepted a job? If she was in the ring for the job and they decided they didn't want her then why should he not take the job? I really hope she doesn't end up getting a show/co host out of this. Have also watched with interest how she's got allergies now of Inderterminable nature, which will make for a good book or two as she cuts out allergens and nightshades and all inflammatory ingredients as according to the internet.... coming to a charity shop near all of us soon.

Shappi Korsandi is another absolute dose. The fact she has the nerve to describe herself as a comedian is the funniest thing she ever said.
I agree that Jack is a bully - especially when for some unfathomable reason she appears to have Nigella, Ricky Gervais partner' Jane Fallon, and the ghastly Allsop all in her pocket. Hopefully Jamie finds it laughable and a bit tragic - but her intention is to undermine and belittle him. If a man was doing this to a woman the blue tick brigade would be up in arms.
