The “assistant” was a few years back and seemed to be basically a ruse to avoid answering her critics on Kickstarter herself. I’m not sure whether this woman was a paid employee or anything.
No, she’s in Essex. Southend environs. Her partner, Mrs. B as she calls her is Louisa Compton who is something at Channel 4. She’s on Twitter too.

She is a scam artist and that’s it.
Jack (previous name Melissa) isn't as poor as she makes out. She has had a lot of opportunities in life.
The childhood poverty she claims to have experienced is absolute crap.
-Her dad is an army vet with an MBE.
-They had enough money to take on several foster kids, you don't do that if you can't even feed your own.
-Jack went to an expensive grammar school that she claims she 'won' a place at, but she has said in interviews she was really unacademic? Makes sense.
-After retiring from the armed services her dad joined to fire brigade and worked his way up.
-Jacks only 'proper' job was a well paid one in a fire service call centre, obviously no connection.
-Her grandfather was also very wealthy.
When she was apparently starving with her son no one could help from her family? Makes no sense.
And as for saying maybe she was 'too proud' etc would you let a little kid go short just so you can be independent when he has wealthy relatives?

She will legit love finding it. It's the dream, people being actually mean. Rather than, for example, her Kickstarter where she had to pretend perfectly reasonable people who had been ripped off were bullies.
In that picture, her Dad was a station manager which isn't a particularly high rank but makes a solid 40 grand. Hardly life on the edge, is it.

It’s bloody criminal for someone like that to take money off someone who can ill afford to give it. I’m sorry but if she’s on the poverty line after several book deals + tv appearances + web advertising then she is wasting her money or managing it extremely badly. Either way she should not be begging for more. Silly girl.
There should be a price breakdown (done in X date) as well as a price per portion because no two houses have the same interpretation of portion size. Jack would say my sponge cake serves 8, some days I'm lucky to have 6 slices. Yes we are greedy guts in my house but no alcohol in our house so we made the choice to overindulge once a week on a cake.
