For someone who's always hankering on about inequality and privilege she's a bit tone deaf with her comment about only getting 8 pounds an hour. She gets paid into her business account and only takes a living wage of 8 pounds per hour out of it weekly. Not quite the same thing

So she chooses to only pay herself 8 an hour from the company accounts that she's the sole director of and just let it build up there as she's certainly not demanding companies only pay her 8 an hour.

She's ridiculous, lie after lie and has made a fortune but a few weeks into a world crisis and is already out with her begging bowl. Deceptive deceitful sketchy woman/person.

That's at least $644 she's earning from her patreon alone, assuming everyone is on the bottom level. Probably closer to $1500 with how many different levels there are and a hand full of higher payers.

That along with her regular media appearances and all the cook book royalties and PayPal donations she's likely to be in the top 10% if not 5% of earners in the country. But still acts as if she's someone on a zero hours minimum wage job.

Every time I log on to twitter I seem to see a tweet from jack. And I have my timeline ordered chronologically. Not only that I swear I’ve unfollowed her about 7 times yet somehow she’s always still there

Of all the things to be wound up by that she does... I find her constant “I swear like a sailor” really annoying. Not because swearing upsets me, I do it all the time, but it’s the way she acts like she thinks it gives her more street cred. Literally all she is advising people to do on her lockdown larder whatever hour, is to add everything together. What is so revolutionary I don't understand. Her followers are acting like she's inventing 3 course meals from dust.

To add everything together, despite the fact that the result might be inedible, and with no instructions most of the time about how to cook the resulting mess (eg - make a soup from ……….. or make a curry from ………..).
Can't believe people are gullible enough to think that she is actually helping people. On Twitter yesterday she said that she has been eating crisps for all her meals, she is so exhausted trying to help others. What nonsense.

Agreed @Yel I think it’s really disgraceful for her to be asking for tips after spreading those absurd falsehoods around her just scraping by on a living wage herself, she has a partner on huge money & financial security. It’s really shitty goings on and I hope someone calls her out for it, there’s a time & place to make your £ and this crisis is not one of them. I don’t keep up w Joe Wicks but hasn’t he just donated a ton to the NHS? Shame Jack can’t follow suit.

yeh exactly, I don't particularly like Joe wicks but at least he has made some kind of contribution, he must realise he has massively raised his profile through his PE lessons, which will in turn end up as income in the future, but he has given back as well at least

Ha i don't think he's that talented , he doesn't even make most of his recipes himself. He owns a production company which is big reason why they would choose him as he already has the team to make the content quickly. Jack would need so much help even if she had on screen talent (which she doesn't) it would take ages.

I don't like him, but would far rather watch him that Jack. But won't be watching.

It's like when Sali Hughes went on a twitter campaign with her friends to get the guardian beauty sacked and nab their job.

Maybe recipes but not whole shows, which is still very quick. Nigella says an episode of her show is at least a weeks filming and even that rate the pressure is on and it's not relaxing.

I don't think jack realises how much easier live is TV with its slapdash nature.

Oh I'd never checked out her instagram before. This made me laugh her going on and on about what's probably just frozen bananas and blackcurrants blended. She makes it sound as if her job as as hard as neuroscience.

She’s clever. Someone left a one star review of her latest book on amazon. And it was reasonable - explained she’s enjoyed jack’s other books but not this one, and thoughtfully explained why. Jack goes sadfishing on twitter to complain about it. Cue a series of five star reviews appearing on amazon, all specifically having a dig at the one star review.

I think she stopped pretending to be vegan once the promotion for her vegan cook book ended.

The book from the budget poverty cook with the £5 vegan sausages. But if anyone steps on the huge segment of budget cooking jack considers her market there will be hell to pay (if they're an easy target).
