Also the annual bottle of Penhaligon’s she always buys herself. Oh except for just two years. Unbelievable.
In my experience, once you’ve been seriously hard up, you’re forever cautious with money. I earn enough now but after being seriously skint and only just getting by, I would never fritter money away on an expensive bottle of perfume. I know we all need treats from time to time but I view money very differently. Been so close to the edge has left me with a fear of being in the situation of not having enough.

Yep, see she just has to always draw attention doesn’t she ? Just have some decorum and let it go. She is a nutter.
Surely TV production execs will see her behaviour now as even more of a reason to believe they made the right choice? She's essentially goaded followers to give That Man grief... bullying, pure and simple.

Isn't that one of the things Katie Hopkins would do to her? She didn't seem to like it very much then...

I like some of her recipes and have enjoyed and learned a few things from some of the old videos on YouTube , what I can't stand is the be kind narrative then encouraging a pile on to Mr Oliver and sympathy her way at the same time , in fact that's what im disappointed in the most the constant call for how hard done by she is in every aspect of her life. I suspect it can become quite addictive and the need for praise like a drug she can't go without
Her recent behaviour regarding Jamie O was definitely the final nail in the coffin for me. I like Jamie and his cooking, I appreciate that he's quite marmite and not everyone feels the same, but that's how she's got away with behaving like this isn't it? As someone pointed out earlier in the thread, she wouldn't have gone after someone more universally liked, like a Nigella.

She's behaved atrociously and spitefully and to now be hiding behind #bekind and painting herself as a victim again is despicable.

Sabrina Ghayour is doing 3 ingredient store cupboard recipes on her Insta. Filmed on her phone, in her kitchen, completely unedited, short enough to get under the Insta time limit. Where there's a will...

If anyone should present the show it should be Delia Smith - she did a book and cookery show 15-20 years ago about cooking on a budget and making things simple - used lots of tins and frozen food etc
Also she’s a legend and very reassuring - she’s who needs to help the nation now
Jack copied her. Jack needs to stop having hissy fits.

Both channels at the same time?? This has to be a joke, surely?

This stuff about Jamie Oliver is really pissing me off. Even if she was the original budget chef (which she's obviously not).... Jamie has been a TV chef for decades, that's his thing. Why should he move aside for her?
Oh Nigella. She's let me down here. Emma Kennedy never fails to be a bit of a dick sticking her neb into everything. I can't help think they are all missing the point massively anyway. Squabbling over who has rights to a programme instead of just being happy the programme is being made, you know, for ordinary struggling people. Bigger picture needed. At this stage it really is like rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic.
Can't help thinking none of them are #being kind to Jamie Oliver.

I disagree. Bullying depends on a power dynamic weighted to the bully's favour. Otherwise the words don't have the same impact. If anyone can bully a celebrity you could accuse any twitter troll of that. They are capable of harassment if it goes to an extreme, or trolling as I say but excess criticism that he's unlikely to even see can't be called bullying. How can it if he doesn't know he's being bullied?

This is IN NO WAY meant as a defence. Just look back on the thread to see how much I abhor this person. I don't see it as bullying but I do see it as utterly pathetic and quite desperate. I actually think she wants his attention in a backwards way and is acting out like a kid to get it.

Edit - OK I appreciate she has a larger platform than the average twitter troll. But it's nothing compared to the empire Jamie has. From his perspective she's still a nobody. Again I'm in no way defending her. Honestly I don't think she's important enough to be able to bully Jamie Oliver. The way she talks to some people who tweet her on the other hand definitely seems like that...
Jack is not a Twitter troll with double digit followers, she's a public figure, a verified blue ticker, with a large public platform and she's encouraging a pile on. She's writing articles in the Metro slagging him off. It's bullying behaviour, regardless of her having less of a following than him.

Christ, that’s borderline abusive. She was punishing him for wanting to eat meat - by forcing him to pay for it, and hoping to gross him out by making him (unnecessarily) squeeze sausagemeat out of the skins 😧 And then reminding him “Mummy doesn’t eat animals” when he eats jelly sweets? Christ. Hoping it was a made up BS anecdote for attention and brownie points.

She raised nearly £70k to write a book in December 2015 and planned to deliver it by May 2016. Except she didn’t. People were really patient, until they weren’t. People felt conned. They were following her on social media and she had loads of time to post on Twitter and Instagram but didn’t bother to update her backers on Kickstarter to explain why the book was so late and when she planned to get it finished. Lots of people were contacting Kickstarter for refunds. The book was eventually published in August 2018.

It's like Pulp's Common People was written for her... I don't know if she's even aware she's lying anymore. I don't know how anyone could live with her. Her behaviour and entire personality is harder to stomach than her vile peach curry

Wonder when we'll see one of those crying/ranting videos on Instagram a la SH?
And apparently we're all going to contact the BBC to try to get her sacked as soon as her new show starts, but *she has already warned the beeb* so there! BBC must be wondering what they have got themselves into :)

She is referring to the nasty campaign as *one grumpy tweet* and has apparently written him a letter of apology.
He must have been delighted to receive it :)
I don’t get the impression that anyone here is deranged/obsessed enough to either send her hate mail or the BBC hate mail, do you guys? Like Tattle isn’t this cesspit of hate they seem to think it is, most of us are capable of quite a reasoned conversation. I’ve defended influencers here before if I’ve felt something said is out of line?! Just because we’re willing to criticise some one’s actions where they don’t sit right doesn’t mean we’re thoroughly negative/nasty people. Also we’re not 4chan murderers in training like we log out of tattle and go on with our daily lives, I doubt it’s one of us sending emails in all caps asking her to wash or whatever it said?

I think the piece of the puzzle missing for these guys is that they have made themselves public figures. They don’t get the benefits of celebrity like chauffeur driven cars / wealth beyond their wildest dreams (or just JO’s yard in her case? 😂) but they’re going to be commented upon, dissected, picked at. If it doesn’t sit well then either choose another career path, don’t read it, or talk about what’s disturbing you with your therapist?

Oh my goodness, that is absolutely disgraceful! She should never be given work again after comments like that 😡
That really put me off Jack and I bought her first book. 🙈.In a later interview she claimed she wrote a letter of apology to Samantha Cameron. It was such a horrible thing to say to someone who has lost their child regardless of their political affiliation.

She's no doubt earnt a profit of several multiples over the £50'000 ish in a tax year to pay the higher rate of dividends tax. So she either has to draw out the money and pay out the higher tax or leave it in the company and have it on public record how much cash in the bank her solely owned company has.

For someone that spends so much time at her desk and has an assistant and an accountant it's strange she's so overdue 😆.

She strikes me as the kind of poverty campaigner that only wants others to pay more tax.

She never posted an update of what culinary delight she knocked up from spaghetti hoops, chickpeas, coconut milk and floppy celery. Did it taste like exactly what it is 🤣

If she ever gets another thread I vote for just tip em in and hope for the best

Supermarket aren't just full of cakes they're being sold off 80% reduced with the surplus.
I suppose this is part of what I don't understand about her current stance. The supermarkets are more or less back to normal, why are we pretending like they're not? I know lots of people are in for some hard yards financially but that's different to lockdown. Noone needs to be eating spaghetti hoops and coconut milk because that's all there is. And if you can't get out (I'm one of those people), there's about 6 million good Samaritans on every facebook group, every corner shop, pub and cafe seem to be set up delivery now (It may be different if you're super rural, but she's only Essex, isn't she?)

She could have got everything to make her kid a cake without any faff?
