Perhaps someone here can interpret the gov.uk pages on debt better than me. I have seen more than one statement telling debtors to pay up by the date on the letter they were sent. So if Jack did not do this she may have lost the ability to pay before ccj squig took more action. I am wondering if she might be fined today, and given another date. I am also wondering if she would be given another opportunity to pay the (by now increased) costs she owes. I would insert the 'who bleeping knows' emojji, but it appears this is the only show in town at the moment. At least her adoring public can expect a new story by the time she reaches Edinburgh.

The courts aren't there to torture people. This is a civil action, so the end goal is to put things right - not to punish her. The whole process is designed to make her pay up, and today's hearing was supposed to get the information required to determine a realistic payment schedule.

She says she's offered to pay the full amount immediately. That really should be the end of the matter - the court has no interest in prolonging this.

That it hasn't been settled is entirely down to guest & the CCJ squig. I suspect they're both playing silly buggers, and are both deliberately making things as awkward as possible. None of this should be happening.

Monroe does this beggy charity tit all the time. From Bread and Jam, to her Kickstarter books having the option to send one to charity, to Grifty Kitchen.

No one in any position to make a difference ever calls this out. Yes, Tattle does and to be honest you wonderful people are the only thing keeping me sane with regards to the grifting scammer (sue me Monroe). But no one else does. It's opened my eyes to the media far more, which is depressing.

I do still wish we get to see her in a Belle Gibson style downfall, but I doubt it.

We all sometimes feel like this, and you are not repetitive and boring, Jack is. Like another lovely frau told me a couple of weeks ago, don't let her upset you so much, and th Food & Drink thread is always a lovely place to chill and

If you've got the money (and she does!), why wouldn't you?

Honestly, if I'd been told to attend court for an oral examination hearing like this, I'd be shitting myself and would happily pay a couple of grand to a solicitor to talk me through it.

I agree that she probably hasn't, though - if only because, as @Seaford Haggington says, a solicitor wouldn't be advising her to act like this!

Grunking but just to say if you ever need to address a zillion envelopes and stamp them, use a damp washing-up sponge to wipe the stamps across. Cos that glue tastes vile after even 20 envelopes let alone a zillion or whatever she had to send.

(And I don't care if stamps are now self-adhesive. I live in the 60s with guest. The 1860s and all stamps are brown/red.)

P. S. This is a fun grunk... Waiting to see if she showed!!!

there must be some Twitter shenanigans going on, I've just opened it on 'guest' mode on my Google Chrome (heh) so no cookies etc. and it's still showing unlocked
