I am watching a Christmas carol. She has such Scrooge vibes.

Veg peelings for the poors in the workhouses and prisons. That's all the need.

The recipes! Any takers?

Trigger warning: in one, Jack instructs us to touch the food with "your clean fingertips". I apologise for the visuals this might inspire.

The soup looks okay, minus the blue cheese. Nothing special though, roasted vegetable + bean soup is pretty much a standard recipe for me now. Having said that, I had pumpkin and blue cheese soup a few years back that was pretty good…

Veg peeling falafels are like something one would find in "Pig Keepers' Weekly" magazine, on how to make a tasty festive treat for the beloved animals

BBC Good Food do not melt their marshmallows, and Nigella tells you to use mini ones.
Thank you.

"This rocky road is a New Year's tradition in my household..." Why when she says anything is a 'tradition' in her house, do I not believe her? 🤔 This btw, is what comes up first in a search for any of her traditional rocky road delights -

See when I talk about these places being full of housewives it’s basically:

Women know your place

Go duck yourself. I have a job, a professional one thanks. I don’t see why anyone should be able to be able to say anything they want online without being questioned. Why is that okay?
I would argue that being a housewife is a job too. Children require a lot care and time. Some housewives also work from home on a small scale (arts, crafts, mlm but don't earn enough for tax) or are unpaid carers for disabled children or other relatives. Being a house wife is not something to be ashamed of but it needs better support and some more respect. Also awareness that men can be househusbands too if the wife/partner wants to work.

Eta just wanted to clarify that I do agree women should not be pigeon holed into the role of housewife but many women to this day (globally) are still primary care givers and providers of food and clean homes. It's a big responsibility and should not be overlooked especially when you consider all this work and care is given freely. Society and the media constantly look down on that role and equate it with laziness which wholly unfair and untrue.

This makes no sense either. The ‘If’ has no place being there. Did anyone read through these before publishing?

Clearly no one proof reads Jack's Recipes. If they did, she wouldn't have been published. They are of the same 'one and done' ilk.
