Evermore is not better than Folklore, they are companion pieces to be enjoyed together. Jack is easily distracted by the new and shiny, and it never lasts.

I still can’t feel sorry for her, all trembly and nervous.
Don’t do it, then but oh no because it earns. Everything has been tried and tested before and eventually it earns.
Bloody hell she’s good at it.

@Veronicaaa & @fauxpoor her face has definitely changed! No idea if it’s just age or weight or something else? I had a break from these threads for a few months and was shocked when I came back.
This’ll be our candy man moment but can’t help but wonder if it’s a non invasive rhinoplasty administered by the butcher that does her lips.

Sorry I’m going to hell for commenting this 🤐

Are we going to see dramatic breaking news on the BBC soon: OUTBREAK OF MEGASALMONELLA COVID IN SOUTHEND

Green rice actually sounds pretty good. I might make it now I know what the duck it is. I assumed it was a low carb brocolli rice type thing.
Boil rice. Stir in green pesto.
This is just my idea.

i must admit i started to watch but then felt so weird about the fact that she obviously knew she was essentially performing for tattle i noped straight of there and i'm so glad i did because unwashed raw chicken hands and dirty roasting tins noooo 🤮

What? She gave that to her neighbours??
i thought she described herself as the neighbourhood hermit who doesn't socialise with anyone on her street? imagine seeing jack scampering around in her teething necklace and mary poppins outfits rooting through a skip one minute then having her appear on your doorstep and handing you a dish that appears to have time travelled from a housewife throwing a dinner party in 1975

Insta Jack gives me hope that her boy isn’t living with the horror that is Twitter Jack.

I watched it all but was cooking myself so didn’t catch all the chatter - I did wince at the raw chicken handling though. What I find most irritating is the silences - in her role, I would have a few choice phrases ready to roll out in any occasion....”remember that chicken and raw meat in general must be away from cooked stuff” “wash your hands in between prepping” “this is a dish good for people that are novices or not confident in the kitchen” kind of thing - just filler that would mean we aren’t just watching her panic about a bowl or a jug and then grate ginger in silence.
I was thinking this. She never even mentioned what the dish should taste like (cinnamon), which culinary traditions inspired it, etc.

She also said that bone-in and boneless thighs are interchangeable - no, bone-in thighs will take longer to cook. And if they're skin-on, as she suggested in a comment, you'll want to brown them first or the skin will go slimy from being cooked in liquid.

So many basics. She really doesn't have a clue about cooking.

This is just my idea.
Boil rice. Leave on radiator. Stir in mould.
Alternative method.

Edit: Oh ffs is it food colouringed green for St P? Because we wouldn't share hattos?

Sorry fraus, I was cooking

She wasn't... terrible. But I agree, not cut out for livestreams or TV. The quivering voice at the end was uncomfortable 😕

Still, in the spirit of Jack's birthday, I bestow the wobbly eyes to the happy abandoned bag of chicken

Even when doing a regular presentation (i.e. not being filmed) there are things you can do to prevent anxiety- and I'm saying this as someone who used to suffer badly from anxiety about public speaking. For example, Jack could make sure she is properly prepared and has all her equipment to hand, be ready on time or a few minutes before, practice breathing to slow down her speech etc. I think a lot of the nervousness and breaking voice is because she speaks too fast and doesn't breathe, which in turn makes her more anxious and her voice more shaky... making a conscious effort to breathe and slow down her speech would help. I'm sure there are other tips specifically for TV/social media presenting such as how to read autocue and look natural, where to look on a camera etc. I think presenting is something that Jack is unlikely ever to be brilliant at, but if she practiced by reading out loud, filming herself etc. she would improve a lot.

of all the things to cook why did she choose *that* dish?! I just skipped to the end and she didn't even try a bite or pick a bit up with a fork, it could have been raw inside for all we know! If that was me i would have made spicy pineapple salsa with black bean tacos. Why can't she ever just make normal food that people actually want to eat?!

Jack please go watch Nisha Katona's videos, she has been on This Morning a few times recently, she is calm, organised, engaging, knowledge etc etc. I do feel bad as Jack obviously struggles but anyone else would go away and find away to improve and overcome or find something that is a lot less stressful.

I assume from her ‘SB eats chicken’ that she’s claiming not to still so you’re right has she never actually tasted it 🤯

I did mean to say salmonella pesto.
Had my jab today and feel a bit queer.
In my last job I went into houses that were so filthy you couldn’t imagine. Everyone in the house bounced with health.

Hi, I'm your neighbour. I thought you might like some of the chicken I made on an Instagram live for my cable of stalkers.
Err, I'd love to but isn't there a pandemic going on?
Nah you're alright mate, I already had long covid *licks fingers*.

Popped on to say Just watched it 😬 thought the shaky voice at the end was just an adrenaline rush of excitement and relief that she had got to the end (with the only mishap being splashing raw chicken juice everywhere 🥴) But she doesn’t come across relaxed at all in front camera which puts the veiwer on edge cringe our arses off. And why not just write bloody list of everything you’ll need do a dry run dont even have cook just go through the processes .winging it just look so lazy and unprofessional .

She's not completely inane. I was long time veggie before vegan, but, even I know that chicken she used in the prep part is going to make someone sick if eaten, for so many reasons too! The one she brought out in the heart dish looked ice cold too, again, especially with the rice, that is a day on the toilet awaiting!
