These people are beyond crazy now. In that recent long Twitter thread, I clicked on the persons profile who it was in response to and read their original tweet and the replies.People in the replies were berating her for ignoring those who tweet porn at her when she posts about children’s artwork
I kid you not, one of them was slagging of the HP series because: There wasn’t a single counsellor in the whole of Hogwarts even though Harry had witnessed someone die in front of him and was obviously going through trauma.
She’s spelling it all out, hopefully this will peak trans some more people

So many of these people seem to struggle with basic comprehension when it comes to her tweets. They assign all sorts of meanings and misinterpret everything she writes. How do they function on a daily basis?!

I can’t believe how terrifying this actually is. Defend someone as per your right to free speech and lose your job? State your beliefs and be abused in public? Offer another opinion or ask for an open debate and be shouted down into submission? I wouldn’t dare say what I feel in public - it’s not on.
These people utterly pathetic. Gender disorders (or whatever the PC name is) used to very rare. Now we are told many children are confused about their identity and are being pandered to with hormone treatment. In my view this is totally wrong. That decision should be made when you are an adult. It's not wrong to hold this view.
It's like a new bleeping fad. 10 or 20 years ago they would have all had eating disorders.

Even with eating disorders it was never like this. We never encouraged anorexic kids to keep starving themselves if that’s what they truly believed they needed to do to be who they truly were’.
People don’t think twice about literally stopping their children’s growth and development with puberty blockers though (actually off label cancer treatments). It’s completely normal and healthy apparently to stall your child’s crucial development towards adulthood, so they can then skip puberty altogether and go through faux puberty via cross sex hormones that render them infertile with a myriad of health issues down the line. Completely and totally normal, nothing to see here.

It’s absolutely insane. The other day my (between 6 and 10 years old, keeping it vague, sorry) daughter said to me she wanted to be a boy. It feels like nowadays I’m meant to say “oh, maybe you are a boy! Let’s get you to the doctors! Let’s get you a stereotypical boy haircut and stereotypical boy clothes! Change your name!” or I’d be accused of all sorts of stuff like ignoring her gender identity etc etc.
Meanwhile, because I’m sane, I asked why she felt that she wanted to be a boy and after a bit of probing, we had a discussion about how girls can do anything boys can do and chatted about sexism in an age appropriate way etc and she went happily on with her day. It’s terrifying to me that some children expressing similar thoughts to what my daughter did are shoved onto the trans conveyor belt instead.
Yes you're right and i certainly wasn't saying that eating disorders aren't real. Sadly kids do succumb easily to peer group pressure so if they see other kids starving themselves to be thin it can start them off on the slippery slope to developing an eating disorder.
I believe that is what's going on now with the gender identity crisis. Some (not all of course) are being influenced by seeing others do it and if they are confused, they think that perhaps they should change sex too.
How right you are, thank goodness your daughter has a sensible mother.

This was actually a thing online a few years back when I was late teens/early 20s, where people would make accounts on Tumblr and other SM sites promoting eating disorders and malnourished bodies. They would post “progress” pictures of their weight loss, akin to the ones people on diets like SW and WW would do. They called it “thinspiration.”

My favourite JK take so far is that she is racist against Irish people because the character Seamus blows up stuff in the film, and this is a reference to an IRA. People genuinely believe this.

I respect her for saying what a lot of people (especially women) are already too afraid to say, for fear of being attacked both personally and professionally. I feel it’s a bigger issue and if someone of her status is willing to put it out there then good.
She has said plenty of things that I don’t agree with in the past. I don’t agree with all of her stances.
Holy duck, these people wouldn’t have batted an eyelid about that if she hadn’t spoken out.

And in my opinion the masses aren't being offended. I believe that the silent majority of women support her. The ones creating all the fuss are a group of activists hell bent on silencing women because they have a nasty mysoginisic agenda.

Because I’ve read nothing about what she’s saying, I keep seeing retweets and people I follow calling her out, I don’t see anyone supporting her on my time line, and I dislike her so soooooo much myself I immediately think she’s wrong in everything she says because she has a history of just being a bit of a witch
