Good. I just feel like it’s given him such an ego boost and he’s basking in the glory.
Was wonderful when it looked like he had her back, felt really emotional.

I'm furious with Stephen King. He has made her look like a total fool and of course the TRAs are now gloating that her tweet praising him was deleted

To be honest though, I think JKR put him on the spot by drawing attention to him liking her tweet. It would have been better to show her gratitude discreetly via dm.

To be fair I think the gender debate can do without the support of a creepy man who included a pages-long underage orgy scene in one of his most famous novels. Because six lads banging one girl is obviously the only way to rid the world of a killer clown 😑.

This thing with SK happens over and over. Man supports “TERF” in public... man gets flamed... man gets asked “are trans women women?”... man panics and says yes.

Same with Jonathan Ross (well, his kids bollocked him) and same with Ricky Gervais. Of course they don’t believe it, but they can’t face the backlash.

Remember, even JKR herself rapidly backpedalled when she “liked” a TERF-Y tweet and blamed it on a “senior moment”. Took her a LONG time to come back with guns blazing, but boy am I glad she did.

Same with Martina Navratilova: at first she apologised and promised to educate herself, but then she actually did educate herself, and came back armed with the truth.

Er what? ...... these sites wouldn't even exist without JK's writing. Unbelievable hypocrisy.
Here's their ridiculous statement. 😡

I read this earlier. These people have jobs solely because of JK Rowling writing. Talking about biting the hand that feeds you!!!

How can you run a fan site for a book series and not acknowledge the author??? It's crazy!!!

I would instruct my lawyers to take the sites down for breaching copyright but of course it would just be spun as “mean JK Rowling targets innocent fans” but you know what? At this point I think she should say “duck it” and do it anyway. I would. There are still official sites for the fans to visit and if former fans can’t bear to go on the official sites then they can STFU and go find a new hobby or fandom to join.

I have so many eye rolls.

It’s clear in the statement they think the people ‘most impacted by’ recent events are trans people. But you know who I think has been most impacted by Rowling’s essay? The many women who had a moment of realisation reading it and the twitter fallout and realised they’re actually gender critical. That it’s ‘okay’ to not be okay with every new inclusive policy. The women who were reminded they’re allowed to question things and stand up for their sez

What a load of twaddle. Used to follow these pages on Facebook as they were quite fun until JKR had the audacity to speak up and they became insufferable with their complete lack of understanding of the situation.

I’m no expert on law but I’d look into doing that if I were JKR and wouldn’t even care about how it’s spun. duck them using her intellectual property for content on their site, possibly profiting off of it as well, whilst refusing to acknowledge the person who created it all. The cheek of it. Harry Potter is hers and always will be.

I would love it if she did that. Wipe the sanctimonious smiles off their faces

I just read that one of those fan sites that tried to “take” HP away from JK Rowling has now had to set their Twitter to private after being bombarded by irate fans over what they’re doing. Gloating is awful but

It’s bleeping infuriating that they “don’t condone her mistreatment”, but then do it themselves by:

• Misrepresenting what she said to manufacture outrage, and allow them to contrast themselves as upstanding, concerned and moral.
• Contributing to the pile-on by effectively encouraging everyone to condemn and reject her.
• Isolating her by encouraging everyone to conform to their opposing ideology.
• Erasing her from her own work, that she so generously allows them to profit off of.

It is also infuriating what they say about intersex people. Not only does it have nothing to do with JKR’s essay but as I said earlier in this thread, many of them do not appreciate being used to prop up transgender ideology. Especially since transgender nonsense has been so harmful to them by causing confusion and stealing their narratives, or falsely claiming to be intersex.

For a start, most of them are, in fact, just male or female but with medical conditions, and have to fight the misconception that they are somehow inbetween. So the nonsense in the leaky cauldron statement about intersex people not deserving to be forced into the binary is ignorant and damaging.
