Theres an issue with some in the trans lobby saying gay people arent gay they are trans. Although transwomen still try and bag women so they are allowed to be lesbians apparently.
Yes it’s all very strange. I also read someone say that gay men only settled for being gay because they failed at being trans. Like, what?

Can't help but think that the authors leaving the literary agency are just trying to stir up a bit of publicity for themselves
Admittedly that’s the first time I’d ever heard of them and even as I’m typing this, I can’t recall their names.

So according to the rules of Twitter we are not allowed to disagree and are being forced to accept that men are women if they say so!
Disgusting
The only saving grace that I keep telling myself is that these Twitter mobs aren’t “real life” and it’s almost worth putting up with seeing this nonsense play out only for the tantrummy reactions every time when reality hits and they discover that outside their tunnel-visioned-block-enabled bubbles, in fact, most people in the normal world don’t actually agree with them.

It's confusing because on the one hand there are the baying Twitter mobs, and then in my daily life the vast majority of people are gender critical/bemused by the whole 'self-ID' thing. Which gives me hope. But then I remember that most institutions, companies, and establishments have drunk the Stonewall/Mermaids kool-aid, and I lose all hope.

This is why I love and respect the UK. Unlike places in America you don't blindly submit to every new social justice idea. Canada is the worst for it it seems.
Love & respect appreciated! :)Unfortunately the Daily Mail (aka Daily Fail/Daily Heil) isn't indicative of the wider press. It's a shame that the only publications not subscribing to the TRA agenda are the right-wing rags.

A shame? I think it’s a disgrace! I know newspapers have their own agendas and leanings but I don’t expect them to omit the truth, even if they want to put their own spin on it (Guardian) or just simply refuse to report on it even though it’s a huge story (Guardian).

It’s got the point now that whenever I link to the G I apologise for doing it in the style of “sorry, it’s a Fail link”

The guardian has been a cesspit of misogyny for years, sadly

I know The Times are Murdoch owned but they do.have a broad range of views from a range of writers. They have been very stringent in allowing their gender critical columnists to have a voice. Unfortunately as They are women they have been subject to misogynistic abuse and threats of violence but are still writing and being published.

Tori Barron's response is ridiculous. "But Joanne, us trans folk are just sitting here. You picked this hill to fight on." Just sitting here, eh. Not doxing people, threatening women with grape, etc etc. Of course, not all trans people. But a good enough number to give the whole movement a bad name. Why doesn't Stonewall or Mermaids speak out against them?

So dignified and eloquent, unlike most of the TRAs on Twitter. You might as well ask a donkey what he's braying about than to get some sense out of the foul mouthed, abusive folk on Twitter
