If that's what they are choosing to do then they should identify as a pop culture podcast and not as this juicy, X-rated podcast when it's clearly not that anymore. Yeah I have to agree about the drinking. Have found people basically think you shouldn’t come out if you aren’t going to drink

100%. When I quit, I ended up getting excluded from loads of drinking occasions because it made a lot of my friends uncomfortable drinking around someone sober. It actually made it really hard to give up because of that. I went back on it for a while just so I would start being invited to stuff again but eventually I just had to find new friends. I think if people know you had a drink problem it makes them feel weird drinking around you. But if you just quit for other reasons people often don’t get it and pressure you to drink anyways because they think you’re missing out or they think you’re judging them for their drinking habits. It’s a v weird dynamic but it’s a great way of discovering who your true friends are. Although try not to be too harsh if people don’t get it right away (as long as they are supportive even if they don’t get it). Drinking is such a huge part of Irish culture which can make it hard for others to understand why you would want to stop. Sometimes when we come to some realisation we expect everyone else to suddenly be on the same page as us which is rarely the case!

Yeah at the start of the pod they spoke about Irish influencers and celebs with an honesty that people loved. Looks like they’re too afraid to mention anyone now, unless they’re sucking up to them. I didn't even listen to it. I'm so over the reality tv & celeb episodes, I find them so boring.

I've basically listened to itgalz since they started, subscribed to their patreon when they started that, even subscribed to XXXgalz for a while.
But I'm just so disappointed at the way it's been going lately. I understand it must be hard to make content during a pandemic but the last episodes have been so vapid and boring.

This is actually my first post on here and funnily enough the only way I discovered this thread was through Jenny & Lindsay bringing it up non stop on their podcast.

As I'm pretty sure the girls still do keep up on tattle here's a plea: Please get your shit together, do your research before recording and move on from recycled daily mail content.

As a long time sub I've been holding out cancelling my membership with the hope they'd get better again, but at this stage it's as good as over.

There is defo some jumping the gun going on. If this was a formal well thought out decision then Jenny would have taken the 'Co-host of itgalz podcast' out of her bio, and they also would have changed the bio of the actual it Galz instagram - which still says 'by mermaidajade and pvssykat'
Lindsay seems to be full steam ahead on 'I'll do the live shows myself, I still care about everyone, I'm continuing on the pod' but the fact of the matter is ItGalz IS Lindsay AND Jenny. What is the appeal of ItGalz? Lindsay and Jenny pride themselves on being cool alt indie girls who are outspoken about sex and sharing their funny life stories. Lindsay naturally has wider appeal and a larger following as she's also an "alt" ma with 2 kids so that opens up a much larger audience for her - her whole start was snapchats about being a ma and making 'ma's who drink', but ItGalz isn't a podcast about being a ma. It was about the two of them.

If people are of the opinion that Lindsay was the more entertaining personality then that's fair - she is the louder and naturally more courageous and outrageous one compared to Jenny. (Scorpios can also be misunderstood but they're not all bad) However Jenny is the brains, she clearly researches the topics, knows all the technical setup, used to work with bloggers in her beauty PR job so knows how to get them on certain lists and what they should be charging, keeps the deadlines, had Evan with his industry contacts and to shoot their amazing photos for them, can still be funny AND shares the exact same stories as Lindsay - she's just not AS outrageous. Anyone who thinks this is a clear path of Lindsay stepping in to suddenly take over all of that is sorely mistaken, Lindsay herself. If she wants to go it alone she should just start fresh with a new pod. Itgalz was Lindsay and Jenny.

Maybe I'm reading too much into the "tanned actresses" but it reminds me of when in the wake of BLM Lindsay made a few comments on the pod that were pretty disturbing.

Not trying to create a controversy here, but I remember her insisting on how she would love a "black" baby on the podcast before.
Like literally went on about it for (what seemed like anyways) a good few minutes. Very uncomfortable to listen to.
I don't know if she thought it was a "cool" thing to say because of BLM, but quite the opposite.
You're talking about really wanting a black baby like you're talking about really wanting a Chanel bag or something .
Just for the "aesthetics and cuteness", no thoughts to what the black community and her said fetishised "black baby"'s life would be like

I used to be such a fan of the it galz, even going to their last live show pre lockdown. Used to adore their honest content especially when they shared the deep and dirty about their own lives. I’ve been an xgal for well over a year and even signed up for xxxgals lately but I just can’t believe how much of a let down their content has been recently. Although I understand why they don’t want to share their whole lives it is a bitter pill to swallow when you’ve invested so much time/money into following them. I just wish they would accept the feedback on why their supporters are let down the past few months instead of branding us as haters, at the end of the day they would have made it nowhere without our support. Even the fact the xgals posts are being uploaded later and later every week with no excuse leaves a bad taste in my mouth, especially when we’re footing the bill for this to be their full time gig

I completely agree with this! I too am a day one subscriber to xgalz and I’m so disappointed with the way it’s going. How old and unrelevant is Jersey Shore in 2021?! I don’t understand how they’re using it as content... AND the whole Suzanne Jackson thing just blew my mind considering they slagged her off for years. I just don’t get them anymore. Their content is all over the place and uninteresting at this point. I’ve been holding off on unsubscribing too waiting to see if they turn things around but each week is getting worse!! Such a waste of money.

I think we're living in a mad world when someone can be hurt and disappointed by a stranger sharing their opinion tbh.
We aren't actually friends with them or related, we're listeners. Hurt and disappointed seems a bit extreme. You're not going to agree with everything but learning to accept that without being emotionally affected is an important part of maturing I think.

Dismissing a woman sharing her experience of losing her baby as trauma porn is pretty low.

I can’t see how you wouldn’t be hurt by this if you’d gone through something similar.
