Am I correct in thinking there was a delay of 5 or more days from the bairn having her leg broken to them seeking treatment? Then AW has kicked off in the hospital? Why was there not emergency intervention for a full child protection medical done? Anyone on here with any relevant knowledge who can explain why this might happen please? I’m sure if you took your dog to the vets in that state you would be reported at least 😡
I think it was 2 weeks delay......😡

What I find astonishing is that AW got up at 11am, simply took HS' word that Isabelle was napping, and she didn't wake her until 3pm when she returned from the shop. Regardless of whether Isabelle was "unwell", what 2.5 year old child naps for over 4 hours during the daytime?!

I just can't comprehend how a parent would not worry enough to wake the child to see if they were OK, take temperature, give some water etc. Especially if they were supposed to be ill.

I can't help but feel there's so much more to this than we will ever know. It's heartbreaking and Isabelle deserved so much more 💔
At best AW was a terrible mother (that’s being very polite) no common sense in how to look after a child and at worst, she was an abuser. Horrible, just horrible

Even the “summary” articles are behind a paywall, so there’s only a small audience of subscribers.
@50sGirl has suggested archiving, however I am unsure if this works for live updates.

"Intimidating" people who query what has happened is a red flag all on its own, FFS!

You’ve summed him up perfectly .
Let’s not forget the ‘ Forever 2 ‘ term he’s using .
Yes there was a go fund me that he also shared to ‘ give her the funeral she deserved ‘.
Just to add - I was always of the understanding that funerals for children were free. Happy to be corrected though.

So AW only had a phone call from the health visitor following Isabelle’s broken leg? No house call to check on her welfare? This was a young child with a fracture that was two weeks old, and a mother who was aggressive to hospital staff. Yet the HV just accepted from AW that Isabelle was doing well and going back to nursery. Now it turns out that Isabelle wasn’t even registered with a nursery, so the HV clearly took no details and made no follow ups

This poor child was let down by everyone :(

I think by the sounds of it - Isabelle was killed/seriously hurt the night before (with the “loud thud” the neighbours heard). As the way it’s been reported - she wasn’t seen at all on CCTV at all the next day. Poor little thing had just been left all night and day 😢😢😢

She was punching kitchen cupboard doors in at 2-3am so I wonder if she’s the one who did it.

If it was solely the boyfriend (which I don’t believe) - no way can the “mother” claim she didn’t know anything about abuse if there were numerous fractures from 3 seperate occasions. Poor little girl was absolutely brutalised with fractures, from at least a month before her death - she must have been in agony 😭

Did Star Hobson ever see her wider family ? If so did any of them report it if it was visible ? It is one of the terrible parts of the Arthur Labinjo Hughes case - some of the family did report their fears and got accused of harassment by the police.
Yeah Frankie's parents were very much in Stars life and adored her. She lived with them for months and was so loved. They were worried sick about her when Frankie took her back . I'm pretty sure they did ring social services at some point

Honestly, it's infuriating there's even a trial here when the evidence is so shockingly overwhelming. I can only assume each defendent will blame the other.

Another sweet baby lost to people who never deserved to be fertile.

She’s been well coached & seems to think she can give the best answer. She’s admitted being a liar so everything answer she gives is well considered by the jury. At first I thought Mr Wright was being too gentle with her, I’m not sure the reporting is poor!

It’s awful to read and that poor little girl ending up with these two!

Honestly it's not rocket science.

Random bloke (who doesn't want to meet you) moves in with your daughter and then very quickly your grandchild has a broken leg and bruising? Do me a favour
AND the boyfriend stated he didn’t want to meet the grandma?? Who in their right mind would accept that.

It’s not been mentioned that AW claimed Isabelle fell down the stairs afaik. Maybe she was going to claim that to her stepdad but it went out the window when he arrived to see her dead. I think AW just carried her down and put her there. It was reported that AW and the stepdad sat in the kitchen chatting and laughing while the paramedics were working, she didn’t even come through to check never mind be close to Isabelle.
I don't think the step-dad was in the kitchen laughing with AW. He was in the garden silent. She giggled when a paramedic asked who he was, and she said dad - not Isabelle's dad. This is what I think I read in the updates. He also cried when relaying what happened in the house in his police interview.

Where was Isabelle's actual dad during this time?

At the end of the day, the dad didn’t kill her. She may have kept her from him, who knows. He’s not the one who broke her bones or sexually assaulted her and not the one who turned a blind eye. If she had full custody, there’s nothing he could have done when AW own mother did sweet f all.

I don't think a woman can be charged with that? It would be assault with a foreign object I thought
I feel sick writing this, but I assumed the charge meant that AW helped HS by holding poor Isabelle down so he could do what he wanted to her. I think that might be why she had all those scratches on her body

How do people who end up with PDFs, not have that spidey sense around wrong uns? There’s a case I’ve seen today, where a male nursery worker was reported by a colleague and she was told she’s ’seeing something that’s not there’…. Turns out she was right and he’d been raping children. I had my first incident the other day where a young girl, about 16, told me a man was watching my kids running around and cartwheeling- I didn’t just ignore that feeling she had. Not victim blaming or anything here, but how do you not notice or want to notice that it’s wrong?!😤 Where’s the protectiveness that you should have around children- your own children!!?
My ex friend who was high up in a childcare profession got with a guy. I told her things didn't sit right with me about him. She ignored me, cut me off. 5 years later and he's been done for being a PDF. I think sometimes love truly is blind. I just hope and pray he never touched her kids.

He can deny it all he wants on fb
But regards to the sort of person he is they dont give nmo out for nothing
But we know that AW was prepared to stab herself to manipulate a situation, smashed up a kitchen and falsely told people she’d been stabbed more than once. Who’s to say she didn’t break a few windows and give herself bruises to get revenge on Josh Welsh? It’s perfectly plausible.
