I totally relate to point 5, except for me it's not the Mother in Law, it's the sister in law! My other halfs older sister is one of those people who has to know everything about everyone, and has an opinion on absolutely everything. She says what she wants and she doesn't care who she hurts, but god forbid anyone does it to her. I won't stand up to her because I know how nasty she can get so I don't see it as worth it. instead I just go silent. I think the worst thing she ever said to me (after she had fallen out with my partner) was "If you've got any plans for your life you can wave goodbye to them now cos my brother has no intentions of going anywhere with his life" (not true, my other half owns a successful business) "and you'll never ever be a Mother so enjoy seeing everyone elses" - she knows i've had 2 cervical cancer scares and have something called cervical erosion - so she knew that would hurt me! I always think of things afterwards that I could have said to her, but in the moment I seem to freeze and say nothing!
Bake her some cupcakes and lace them with laxatives. She sounds a right cow!

1. I love home cooking (not baking so much as I always tend to make a complete balls up of that) 👩‍🍳
2. Hope to return to South Africa permanently in spring 2021 (depending on you-know-what!) 🇿🇦
3. I'm an alcoholic 🍷
Can I ask how the ‘Typical’ South African lifestyle differs to ours? I’d be interested to know more.

Erm

I am addicted to my phone. Social media/games/news/tattle
I could get so much more done if i just put down my phone!

I'm 42 years old and still have no idea what my dream job is

Being a mother is a LOT harder than i imagined and 90% of the time i hate it 🙊

Very briefly: the climate, the open spaces, the beaches, the decent standard of living, variety of cultures and languages, the nature reserves, the wildlife, and the sheer vastness of the country to name but a few.

I personally think you're being kind with just laxatives. She sounds pure evil 😳
She is pure evil! I actually did a thread about her on the advice bit in here previously because she's only getting worse. She's so nasty to me I'm counting down the days until we get our house keys and I can finally say "you're not welcome in my home".

i am turning 50 in January, and it makes me panic.
i never had children
i have a privileged life, but bad things happen all the time so i have a lot of anxiety

I don't eat dairy or gluten due to IBS/ suspected food intolerances but now years down the line I wonder if anxiety is to blame for my digestive issues.

I believe I may have dyspraxia . I knew someone who's child was being investigated for suspected dyspraxia and they said that was how I acted. I often find it so difficult to make my hands do what my brain wants them to do. It would explain a lot.

I love knowing things . I'm nosy so like knowing things about people. I'm always looking stuff up online about 'things' too

1. I'm a bit addicted to my job, so when I finish for the day/weekends/on leave I still check my phone.

2. I dont really have any close friends, and I never really have had any. It makes me sad sometimes but its just the way it is.

3. I also have bendy fingers (the same as a few other posters on this thread!)

Think I’ve posted in here before but;

1. I can say the alphabet backwards
2. I’m a loner, even more so in lockdown. My ex was the person I did most things with (cinema, meals out, travelling, etc) and I feel so lonely! But at the same time I’m relishing my independence and being selfish.
3. It’s my goal to live in New York one day.

1. I prefer my own company to the company of others, I like being alone and doing things on my own.
2. I’m a Japanophile. I love everything about the culture: the food, the history, the etiquette, the landscape, the architecture — all of it. I would eat sushi every day if I could.
3. I have a huge fear of public speaking. Even just speaking on camera to my phone makes me incredibly nervous, especially if I know it’s a video people will see.

I'm definitely with you on point 2 - love Japanese culture, especially film, manga/anime, its amazing landscapes, buildings, and especially the amazing 24/7 buzz that is Tokyo - a town that really doesn't sleep!

I wish we could go on a Tattle field trip to Japan
Imagine 😍 I wish we could go on a trip anywhere currently!

I lost my father to suicide. It’s a very painful subject to come to terms with, and losing the love of your life is another level of pain. Sending you huge hugs xx
