The house listing really is just a monument to over consumerism and her passing fads.

there’s the fwench bedroom with the plastic moulding, the gold bathroom, the Kardashian hall and the YSL attic - all
Decorated with copious bottles of free Dior perfume - it’s tragic

Not a chance she'll get anywhere near asking for it.

Just located it. And yeah, it's spendy but I imagine they won't lose money on it like Lydia etc will.

I'm not sure. I don't think anything they've spent money on will have added value to the property. It was a perfectly fine newish build when they moved in. Now it's a gaudy mismatched newish build.

What they've had done:
- whole house incl. kitchen, dressing room and at least some of the bathrooms
- hallway
- trashy Versailles outhouse bathroom
- landscaping
- re-done French bedroom
- office room
- re-done living room
- en-suite bathroom
- re-done dressing room
they're all the more major things they've had done that I recall. I'm pretty sure most rooms have undergone more minor revamps too.

Most of those things don't add value though if they're not the buyer's style. You could have the world's nicest dressing room (she doesn't), but if a buyer wants to use that room in another way, then all of that is of absolutely no value because it's going to be ripped out. Likewise that weird ass gold tub, it might have cost her upwards of £5k, but it's weird and unless she finds a buyer that really loves that bathroom, it's neither here nor there. That weird Kris Jenner style hallway tiling would be getting ripped out asap if I bought it.

The other problem is that there is a ceiling in most places in terms of property value, you might have a house that could in theory be valued at a certain amount, but if an area doesn't have the caché for buyers, it's just not going to sell at that price. She needs to appreciate that her house is a larger than average new build on a plot that's smaller than I would expect for a house of that size and in my view nothing that they have done justifies what I think is about a 50% uplift on what they bought it for. Properties that have sold for similar prices in the past couple of years have either been statement type properties or come with larger gardens and more seclusion that are more firmly going to be the sort of properties that families want to buy (and families are realistically her target buyers at that size house, price point and location).

Yes! They have spent (grifted) a lot but it’s all fairly weird mismatched cosmetic choices rather than anything that would add solid value.

I almost feel like the strange ordering of the photos is to try and distract from some of the bloody terrible room decor. Special call out for this bathroom, the husband (not brother)‘s prison in the loft, and then this random personality free bathroom that they obviously never got round to grifting any freebies for.

I actually think the house looks ok on Rightmove and much better than it does in videos, other than one blue bathroom that's the nicest room in the house and that random dark grey and orange room, which I think was Alex's office. The rest looks surprisingly neutral when photographed.

I don't understand the move to Cornwall when her family is in Wigan and I think her friends other than those abroad are mostly up north too. If she's feeling lonely then wouldn't it make sense to move closer. Maybe Cheshire or the Lakes if they want another rural ish mansion.

Personally I love the bones of that house, and the garden. The decor isn't my taste but I've never bought a house where something didn't need to be renovated.

What I'm finding odd is how this decision to sell up and move happened seemingly so quickly. And a drastic move at that. If they'd been mulling it over a while it would've surely been brought up long ago .. I agree it screams divorce. If Vic can learn to leave the vapid consumerism behind, I hope she gets a cute little cottage place and enjoys this new phase of her life away from her old influencer career. And maybe Alex will get a campervan and travel for a while.

I reckon income is steadily falling and they are hoping to make a sizeable profit in order to move to a cheaper area and have a small/no mortgage.

I imagine the damp squib of her ByFrow launch which hasn’t propelled her earnings and her having no other ideas other than expecting to get £££ for calling it in is the huge catalyst.

I think the thing is that they’ve priced that house based on the fittings (like the bath) that most people probably won’t like/wont want to pay an extra premium for.

The house could definitely be lovely. It’s wild to have spent so much on those decor choices but not have put a proper roof on that conservatory which I suspect is either the temperature of a freezer or a sauna and mostly unusable.

Found the house. As others say, the bones of it are lovely but there’s too much going on with the decor in most rooms and it’s very mismatched. Especially her dressing room, it looks cheap.
I also have to say for the money, the kitchen is underwhelming. If I was spending that on a house I’d want a bit more wow factor and a better layout personally. I don’t know the area though and whether people will pay more for location.

I’ve always found the kitchen layout weird. It looks narrow, as does the living room. Which doesn’t make any sense given the house looks like an absolute whopper

I think the kitchen shape issue would be 'easily' addressed by knocking out the utility wall (which doesn't really add anything). It doesn't look load bearing and it doesn't add anything. Remove the island and you could have a decent kitchen diner (the 'orangery' is, as someone else said, likely unusable for most of the year).

The living room is really narrow though and the windows and doors mean you can't really put a TV anywhere other than on the short end. I suppose if they didn't have the gym as a gym then you could perhaps make that a TV den and have the living room as a formal living space, but it's a compromise for most people and at that price point, you shouldn't be compromising that much.

Husband's (not brother's) room gives me Confederate vibes

Agree, re the kitchen shape. I think taking it further, I’d knock down the orangey and extend to go level with the sitting room, and knock through to have a big open plan kitchen / diner and family space. And somehow fit a utility room in too! But would cost a fair bit and I feel like at this price a lot of buyers would want turn key.

Gah FINALLY found the listing lolol

I agree, the images make the house look a bit better, but it's hard to ignore the mish mash of interior styles. The Versailles bathroom is still so bad. My eye just jumps from tacky gold to tacky gold. It sees nothing else. The garden is gorgeous (kudos to the person they paid to make it look so nice!). That would be my selling point. But yeah, unless you like the "influencer with 0 taste, but got the majority of the fittings for free" look and your furniture is conducive to the style of each room, you're going to be tearing out a lot of this. The layout of the new en-suite bathroom is awful. The foyer is 😳. The kitchen is narrow and the layout isn't great for entertaining (always a big deal for me). The oRanGeRy is meh, but probably not temperature controlled. It would've been better served as a sunroom with comfy chairs, but then there wouldn't be space anywhere else for a dining table since the turned the living room into a gym and the room best for a dining room into the living room 🙄 I also would've removed all those bags from the attic for the photos, but whatever 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm curious why many of you think she won't get the asking price. I don't know anything about suburban London home prices. It does seem on the high end for similar houses for sale in the area though 🤨

She bought it in 2019. Neither the market nor she have added 50% to the value.

If it was suburban London then it would be a fair price, but it isn't, it's Northamptonshire and not really a commuter town because you first have to drive 15 minutes to Milton Keynes.

What did they pay in 2019?

it’s so insane to me to drop a pencil sharpener as a product and not a freebie with the pencils ala pat McGrath and others that I looked at her comments thinking SURELY not even she is that ridiculous

well I guess she is that ridiculous 🙈
