I mean, let’s assume that most full time jobs are anywhere between 37.5 hours to 42.5 hours a week... my question is, how do they manage to do this, and hold down their jobs?


I am sure there is an app where you can schedule the time your grid post goes live, so they could in theory prepare the grid posts the night before. Use their lunch breaks to catch up with messages etc, they all reply to other accounts with the same old drivel. Then we have the whole evening as not many have a life outside of IG, what little life they actually have is storied for the gram driving through McD‘s, brunch, farm visit or the park.

It can be very lucrative, this account has AD/PR GIFTS almost daily, they have just finished a flip and the amount of AD/PR was unbelievable; right down to gifted quartz worktops.


after watching a Stacey Dooley documentary about a couple in Surrey I can see the appeal to try and get to their level of influencing, but how many have tried to get to that level but fallen short??

I have read of people leaving their jobs to concentrate on their accounts, it’s okay in theory; not so good when your child decides they no longer want to be part of this circus.

She’s mentioned today about not having many ads on her story’s today, so defo reading here. Seems her chaps backs ok now as he’s doing the wee kitchen today.

Just watched, she’s had to buy the coffee cups; not an ad. On her stories the worktops are now marked ad, confused as on other stories they are gifted. When you are accepting that many items I suppose it’s hard to remember if you’ve had a discount for a shout out or they’ve been generously gifted to you

Our Hev needs to loosen up and start enjoying life, let your hair down love; have a few drinks and go with the flow. You only get one life, live it like it’s your last day; works for me.

No one is jealous of her @Dontsugarcoatit she is not a happy girl, it’s all about the gram. If her grid posts don’t achieve many comments, she deletes them; there was one post and there were only 9 comments and she has over 207k followers her engagement is very low and she knows it.

My daughter opened my eyes to her after I commented that she had replaced the kitchen chairs in the house again, she said she hasn‘t purchased them; they are gifted and she’s not declaring this on her grid post.

People have seen her commentating on big company accounts on IG, asking them to DM her, your guess is as good as mine as to why.

My mantra totally, we have saved and worked hard to achieve the look that we wanted in our home, I’m more than happy and we paid for all of it ourselves. I wasn’t chained to my phone, leaving messages on companies pages on IG, hinting for items. Don’t feel rotten, enjoy your home knowing that you haven’t sold your soul to achieve it.

Our Hev & Luke have just done a live, she disclosed that the bungalow is up for sale. She said that she hadn’t made it public as the last house took ages to sell. They’ve had viewings and someone is viewing tomorrow. When they sell they probably won’t take the furniture as it is expensive for storage, she also stated that they only used 5% of the house furniture in the bungalow.

Damn how did I miss this one. Are they moving into the one they renovating now?

Surely a discount is a discount !!!! Why am I still following this div...... goes on about how family is so important... never see her parents or Luke’s... showing pictures of her old bungalow now... I would be well annoyed if I brought a bungalow and the person I brought it from kept showing photos of it..... she calls it project Brentwood.... it not in Brentwood it’s in Clacton on sea... Brentwood Road... .

Iv been thinking about this discount thing and these as @DebbieF puts it scroungy/influencers...

I have come to the conclusion that if company’s want to give a discount or gift the item for free then that’s ok with me. Just be open and honest about it.

personally I would like to see all discounts and gifted items recorded on their page... for instance let’s say among all the other highlights they have at the top of their page they could have a highlight for gifted/discounted items. Where when a user clicks on that highlight they should easily be able to see if the item was gift or discounted and ofcourse the amount that item would have costed. This way they are transparent to all their users... obviously this is never going to happen because it’s hard enough getting them to actually pop gifted etc or the post.

I get your point about family, but she is exactly the same as the others on here, they do and say what they think their followers want to see... I would assume that she has seen a good response of following when her friends have mentioned about family values.... so there you go! These influencers will do whatever it takes to gain more followers... most of these lot have no moral and will do whatever it takes to get more followers. Wether that’s buying them, changing from a home account to a fashion account, or using odd # that don’t represent their profile.

the bottom line is it’s all about manipulation, and how they can keep you hooked! Because you the user are their product! Your following/likes/interaction is one of the thousands of accounts that they are using in their pitch to send to companies begging for items for free...
