I think Craig should've had more praise for thinking about how awful it is to sit facing a wall for hours - his design was really good (and believe me, I was prepared to dislike him from his hair/beard/shorts combo). Putting in a sink/breakout area/somewhere to eat lunch when it's raining makes it a much more practical place to work.

I like having a nosey and seeing what they kept - surprised they kept Emma's freehanded painting...

Studios at Boxworks - Boxworks

Studio 2 Rita
Studio 7 Craig
Studio 15 Bradley
Studio 16 Emma
Studio 18 Victoria

Presumably the others are rented out already.

Craig's was well put together but not a space I'd want to spend all day in for work.

I loved Holly's, Craig's and Rita's spaces (again!) Victoria's was also very good. I think the right person went. I didn't like Emma's or Bradley's, and wasn't keen on the DT teacher's either. The spaces were really tricky, given that they were so long and narrow. I was also concerned about the lack of toilet...imagine it's pouring with rain / freezing cold and you've got to trek outside to go to the loo. Michelle said it was about luring people back to an office, there's no way I'd be leaving my nice home office and easy access to the bathroom to sit in a box in a carpark, with no toilet 🤣

ETA: I didn't like Emma's, but I also didn't like the one that was painted white and had the swing. Can't remember her name.

I think it turned out to be an exercise in demonstrating no amount of creativity and design can truly make a shipping container a habitable space (no matter what Michelle said at the end through gritted teeth) and we should all stop pretending otherwise

Loved John’s hallway, Victoria’s bedroom and Briony & Craig’s whole apartment this week (although not sure about the yellow hallway!)

Michelle seemed almost angry as she was walking round the mermaid 🧜‍♀️ apartment. Especially the sparkly ceiling.
Shame Holly went as I think she's very talented - though it was entirely deserved as that apartment was dire, and unfinished.

I think Holly’s very talented but I think the 70s obsession could have become very one note if she’d stayed. Although John didn’t push himself far enough at least his designs were tasteful and that hallway was lovely. Aisha and Holly’s apartment was just bad - overkill in the hallway and not enough elsewhere. And Holly thought spare room luxe meant putting pictures of sailing knots on the wall 🤦🏼‍♀️

I thought it was a bit harsh that they put two of the youngest together in a task about designing for older people. I liked both of them and it’s a shame we won’t see more from them but it was the right choice this week. I love Rita, the whole Lola backstory was brilliant 🤣

I thought they all had a better grip of the brief than I would have, I'd have shoved in grab rails and modesty screens for the commode. I would have liked to have seen more Holly, I do think her designs would have become boring but she so much like a Carolone Aherne character I delighted every time she was on screen. The poor premise and design aside her planning was piss poor on that one (not enough MDF and hoping some would magically appear)

Holly really reminds me of someone facially but I can't think who it is - driving me mad 😂
I liked her constant slight vagueness and optimism. Though obviously not qualities that worked last night.
Rita does seem to be the one to beat atm.

I can't remember their names, but with the winning team's apartment I really thought the judges would have disliked the contrast between the very yellow hall door opening onto the cream sitting room. Looked a bit odd and disjointed to my very untrained eye ie if you were in the sitting room and the door was left open.

I really liked Craig & Briony's, particularly his bedroom and the living space, but agree that the bright yellow doors were a needle scratch. It was highlighted for me when Michelle & Sue were in the bedroom with the door still open. I think if they had maybe been a paler primrose or a paler green it might have been ok.

John's living space had so much blank wall, but I like him. Bradley is too Dunelm for me. Victoria's bedroom was very good.

Holly also reminds me of someone, but cannot think who.

Rita and Craig to the final I think.

If John can properly learn from this week's feedback he's got a lot of potential, I think his instincts and taste levels are good. I definitely think Rita is the front-runner but Craig could give her a run for her money if he can perfect when his bold instincts are right (the bamboo prints in the bedroom) vs when they're too much (yellow hallway).

I agree that Bradley is a bit Dunelm (I do love Dunelm though haha). He was very lucky to get through last week with that awful MDF space desk. That being said although nothing revolutionary, I thought his bedroom was done well this week - although cutting the circle around the lightshade and smoke alarm was a mis-step. He got away lightly with them not making a big deal of the terrible cardboard fireplace backdrop!

I agree, I think John is my favourite and probably who I would hire.

He just needs to find his feet in the competition

I quite liked the glitter ceiling….

but I agree that they didn’t have a solid enough background for their clients so it became a bit childish. Having an excess of nautical decoration when you’re by the sea just reminds me of hotels and b and b. It’s quite cliche.

Quite enjoying this series. Bradley is a bit of a pain, funny he had a little witch about the hallway and they loved it.

My husband said it was a good job that the pair with the mermaid client did not have to design the bathroom. I am enjoying this series.
