The pop art dog room was brilliant! And adding the door, the nice positioning of the crate etc. showed Craig had thought about it functionally, it wasn't style over substance.

The finishing on so many of these rooms is diabolical, I'd give it a week before stuff started peeling off, wearing away, falling down.

The art room was fun but for the love of god can she please stop making random shit with paper mache?

The office room was ok but a lot of it wasn't great on closer inspection. Those drawers absolutely did not need vinyl spots stuck all over them.

The room which had to be six different things was a nightmare to work with, they absolutely did the best they could, it's like whoever was given that space was set up to fail. However I did think choosing beige pull out mattress bed things for people who are coming in off the street was a bad choice, they'd get filthy pretty quickly.

I did agree on the winning room, it was well designed and aesthetically pleasing though I'm not sure how long those chipboard shelves will last!

Michelle is so morose this season it's like someone forgot to put in her batteries. If I was Sophie Robinson (who was in her pyjamas) I'd have turned down the judge spot and just stayed in bed.

I'd love to see Michelle design and execute a stunning room design - I'd put money on the fact she would fail miserably!

I really don’t get why Briony won stand out space. The room was boring, the rugby balls on the wall looked weird and amateurish, the chair coverings were really poor, and are the hospitality people really going to wash a white tablecloth for every guest?

But I do think the right person went, Victoria’s space lacked taste.

Enjoying how naive they are with money, so proudly announcing paying £35 for an out of tune piano which around my way at least are 10 a penny on Freecycle because they're massive and cost to tune etc.
The lad so chuffed at £450 for his 'designer sofa' seems robbed, and I did appreciate the trades correcting the scottish womans "all for £30" for her kitchen island with "plus labour" , nice to have it acknowledged that for most us without joinery skills etc it's not a case of knocking something up for a few quid before lunch.

I really want to visit the paper shop now! Craig was so clever turning the paper into lampshades and what he did with the window was brilliant

I think somebody like Lawrence Llewelyn-Bowen might be a good choice. Michelle is just too dour for the show and seemingly can’t stand Alan which adds an extra dimension of awkward

i think the team who were assigned the wellness room were destined to fail from the start - 6 ideas into one tiny space? It was never going to work and i feel sorry for Kate ( and whoever else it was) . It felt like a trap and that Michelle new full well that the team who got this room would struggle.

Re paper mache woman. There was a lot of eye rolling going on when she started making more paper mache creations. I mean FFS.. can she not do anything else? I also felt like the pencils were a bit childish (although i liked the idea of hanging aprons up ).

Haven't watched masterchef in years but I remember when they set them a task sometimes John would cook the dish first to show viewers how it should be done. I'd love for Michelle/Monica to tell us what she would have done apart from put magazines on the table. Even the guest judge was useless when his suggestion was "well you could have put books there".

I can't get too annoyed cos Duran needed to go. However, I don't think the final 3 are anything exciting either.

I liked Teo’s but too and he has a graphic design background so it would have been good to see what else he produced given the chance. Papier mache is going to get old really quick and the other one is totally out of her depth. They need to stop with the ‘content creators’, they are always shit.

This has been a dire season. Its hard to tell if the overall standard of the candidates have been poorer when every single week I felt the wrong person was sent home. You could have given those football boxes to the first 3 who were sent home and they would have done as good a job if not better.

It was such a boring episode having them doing two stadium boxes. Essentially they are the same shape/size space and used for a similar purpose. No idea why Michelle was criticising them for doing things on the cheap and not managing to source antique table tops - when they have naff all budget and a tiny timeframe to get the work done.

Right ones on the sofa this week and right one went. I'm just not as engaged or interested as I normally am, though it was a better episode overall.
I don't think anyone is stand out amazing this series tbh. Because of that I can't get into it as much either so far.

I thought the paper shop interior design was such that I would remember "oh that lovely indian paper shop in rye". It was distinct and memorable.
The clothes and jewellery shop was nice but not distinct from any other clothing shop. It was pleasant but forgettable.
And I think the purpose in retail is for you to think of their store first when you want to buy. So for that reason the lads were the clear winners.
Tbh I think an Indian paper shop was an easier brief in that the colours will always be gorgeous and rich - but it would be easy to veer into cliche which I don't think they did. And it looked liked it smelled lovely 😂
The clothes shop was really nice but a bit generic and unmemorable. It was screaming out for pops of colour.

I’m also finding this series flat. The designers just don’t seem as good as previous years. The mess rooms were so underwhelming. Usually whether you love or hate the design they manage to create something with real impact. These ones were just bland.

Totally disagreed with the stand out space winners, and think it’s a travesty that John has got through when all he managed to do was make some fret work and a bit of engraved wood, and paint the inside of a pre-bought cabinet pink. Half of the stuff he had planned wasn’t finished yet again.

I personally hated the pink and green in the shop, I found it garish, and the only bits I thought were clever e.g. the origami window display and using the paper for the lampshades were done by Craig.

I do agree that the fabric in the women’s shop could have been a ‘moment’ and thought the white boucle would get dirty fairly quickly, but otherwise thought their space was spot on.
That's interesting - my OH hated the pink and green too and much preferred the clothes shop (which I did like too - it had some lovely touches). But I did love the paper shop more. Just more inviting to me personally.
I think Craig carried John. I guess the intention was always to have two weaker/stronger pairings so either John or Briony was always going to go (just in case by some quirk a pairing of Craig and Rita went wrong and one of them had to go).

Three times on the sofa for Duran - what the hell was her black artwork?, another who used a paint they called "poo brown" but no, let's get rid of Ajeet  Honestly Michelle, let someone else do the job.

I think the lady who did not put a room divider between the bedroom and the kitchen should have gone. I would not want to look at my bed when I was cooking.
