oh I love it. So now these escorts will have to pay to quarantine. Deduct that from the sheikh’s money and how much will they earn?
I love priti Patel for this.

Now they cannot claim they are “working”

also - Rita Ora being called out for her party during lockdown. I think the brands should drop her. She has “influenced” badly also.

I hope that nobody ever forgets that these horrible people rubbed it in everyone’s face when most people were at their lowest ebb. They are a disgrace

Please let James Locke, Yaz, et. al. remain out there without health insurance.

The tweet thread says isolate at home, not hotel.
Hotel quarantine isn’t law yet. Once it is, it’ll apply to everyone returning to England from ‘red list’ countries which now includes the UAE.

I said this miles up the thread but it’s worth repeating: they’ll all have health insurance if they flew out with Emirates, because they were (and still are) giving out free health insurance with every booking as part of their “Dubai is Open” campaign. And, unlike other health insurance providers, that insurance was valid even if you were travelling during an “essential travel only” order. Bear in mind Emirates is the state-owned airline.

It makes me so MAD. During the first lockdown, my sister needed a permit to leave the house for antenatal appointments or grocery shopping. There was a curfew every night while they sprayed the streets with disinfectant. They got the virus under control, but luxury tourism is pretty much the entire UAE economy at this point so they opened everything up. All the ex-pats went home for Christmas. Every z-lister and footballer saw the campaign, went for some winter sun, refused to social distance and ignored the mask mandate. And now, one year into a pandemic, the UK finally blocks flights.

I’d be laughing normally but I’m supposed to be flying with Emirates to the other side of the world on a one way ticket via Dubai in April, I was meant to move there last year but had to postpone due to covid... I haven’t seen my parents in over 2 years and just really hope Emirates are flying again by April 😭😭😭

Dubai has been added to the red list do 10 days quarantine in a hotel on arrival in the uk. Grant Schapps has also banned direct flights between uk and Dubai.

this country’s last minute tactics frustrates me... they couldn’t do this months ago????
