Rochelle Humes certainly hasn’t self-quarantined herself after a family Christmas trip to Dubai. I mean, if the rules say you don’t need to but you’re literally travelling during a global pandemic surely YOU MAKE THE DECISION TO ISOLATE UPON RETURN. Civic duty surely. To not do so, is frankly selfish and appalling conduct.

Good on you. I'm complaining about the individual that made masks all year and then flew to Dubai. Not something I do...I never complain, but this is something I'm passionate about.
I'm so glad that I don't ponder to influencers. I would never use a company that has gifted an instagrammer.
I’m in Australia and we haven’t been able to LEAVE the country since Feb as the government doesn’t want to deal with us trying to return. We still have about 20k Aussies stuck overseas slowly slowly coming back in with 2 weeks quarantine. With the new strain in the UK there is talk amongst politicians about how to deal with Aussies trying to return from there. Long story short, I’m astounded Dubai hasn’t shut their borders to the UK. Astounded.

At least they have apologised - quite a lot of companies haven't had the decency to show any remorse at all. Piss poor decision making on their part though.
I agree with this - I know it is mean and also probably an OTT response but there really needs to be some sort of consequence for all these influencers . One rule for them and another for everyone else.

So she's from love island, no idea who he is. That's why I heard of her as I remember some beauty queen being in and her crown being taken off her. I've oy seen two series of love island, so I don't know a lot of them.
So they’ve suspended travel from Tier 4 areas which would then include Heathrow, Stansted and Gatwick, but I don’t think those airports are closed.
This UAE stuff is starting to look a bit sus to me now. Why is the government giving incentive for these people to go by saying they don’t need to self-isolate on return? All this is going to do is make the influencers go more when surely you’d want to discourage travel? It seems like you’d get in more trouble for having a bit of weed on you than you would spreading a potentially deadly virus around the world... given the non-existent level of scrutiny they’re getting, at this rate all the influencers in the UK will join the tory party
I get that our airports are a huge part of our economy, but surely we’ll just be stuck in this situation forever if we don’t put any safety measures in ourselves? Maybe there could be private testing at the airport where part of the fee goes to the airport?
Update on the petition: I’ve written it and published it but it goes through a few stages of checks. So I’ve gotten 5 people to sign it, so it will now be checked. Until it is checked, it will cap at 21 signatures. It might take a few weeks [
] to be fully available, so I need to be careful how I share it to make sure that it doesn’t start going round before it’s ready. It’s bloody hard to sound convincing with only 300 characters to explain what you want the gov to do and 500 to explain why you want them to do it!

The government really needs to be stricter with the definition of “essential” - as it is, influencers have been going abroad for work trips (photoshoots and meetings). How is this “essential” when hairdressing etc.. is banned here at the moment? I feel so bad for regular beauticians that are losing their livelihoods whilst these people, who could easily more than sustain themselves on sponsorship deals from home, have their bogus “photoshoot” trips ALSO classed as essential work. My lash tech lost her salon last year and couldn’t work at all, but I’ve been seeing influencers get their lashes done, roots done, teeth done (grace Beverley got bonding done in tier 4 in London.).
