Yeh, whenever I’ve watched hurricane prep it does always seem advisable to leave them out but I know there were some posts upset on here about that, so thought they’d like this. It must be such a horrible decision to make. Essential to have their vaccines always up to date so that you can evacuate them (if you’re in a position to be able to).

I may be wrong but the people that were bringing them in, were they further away from the coast so less chance of flooding?

Ohh maybe? I can’t remember what hurricane it was, but it was a few years ago, and this vet/rehab page came up on my FYP and they were treating horses for the shocking burn injuries from being stood in the flood waters for days and days. The skin was just coming away I didn’t even think of those sort of issues it was so, so sad.

It was absolutely terrifying to watch. I would have been terrified if I was in Florida
