I don't work so it's only fair I do most of the domestic stuff. I keep on top of it so it's not a big deal, plus I like ironing 😳. My husband does the kitchen clear up every night as I doing the cooking, again I enjoy it and he's not much of a cook. The only job I insist on him doing is clean the shower as the screen is a single piece of glass and it's huge, I need to use a step ladder if I clean it! We both do the food shop together at the weekends. We're having a big clear out in the better weather but he'll wade in and do most of it, he's a tidy freak 😁. He also does all the recycling, bins etc.

different things work for different people hun, not gonna lie I am a tad jealous haha. my bf saves his clothes up in a pile next tot he bed. every morning I lift them, fold them and put them back on the bed as a hint....they get threw on the floor again that night and the same happens the next day until he decides that they all need washing and he DESPERATLY needs the pair of jeans that's been in that very pile for over a week haha. sounds like you have a good man there x

My OH does fuck all getting to the point he doesn't even flush the toilet fully after a shit so when in come home from work the entire house smell of it. Drops chocolate bar wrappers where ever hes finishes then all round kitchen and living room. He works long hours but I'm doing 50plus hours this week. he left me a note and a key to his car to please Hoover it because he wont have time to before his fucking ex borrows it to take their child somewhere
I thought my ex was bad - is he bringing other talents to the relationship? hope so as he sounds a bit mean to be fair x

Omg. I don't know how you deal with that. If my fiance was like that, I would have left him and it would drive me MAD.

You know that is not normal right? He needs a kick up the arse. That is disgusting. There is zero excuse to not flush the damn toilet. I am mad for you.
The toilet is one where theres two one for we one for pooh he is too busy apparently to make sure hes pressed right one I keep saying press both we aren't on a water meter

My partner does fuck all. He will feed the dog and change the bin bag if I ask him about 50 times beforehand.
I don't think he has ever offered to help with anything! Constant argument but I try and look past it.
Feel like I've posted this my self. Tbf mine offers but only when I'm banging about with the arse on. He just fucks it up!

I couldn't find a thread about the house chores.

Who's responsible in your homes for doing what? Do you and your partner work?

I think I got myself into the house chores corner... We both work full time. My partner cooks and is responsible for the majority of the grocery shopping (we go together, but I hate choosing veg, I get cold in the fridge /freezer section) so I wander around looking for deals and I pick up an odd item.

We usually unpack the shopping together, but not always...

Anyway, I do everything else including putting my partner's clean laundry away. Often folded in a konmari way.

I like the house to be clean and organised which is why I took on the vast majority of the house work, but I find myself angry and resentful towards my partner.

I appreciate the cooking a lot and the fact that when I can't be bothered to get up, I can ask for a tea, drinks etc.

I feel terrible for being angry at my partner, but is cooking enough or should I ask for help in running the house?

I think myself and my boyfriend do a lot of things equally. I tend to do the washing and he usually irons. Its strange having someone who doesn't always make out cleaning etc is a womens job especially when most women also now work full time.

My partner work full time monday to friday and sunday. From 5:30 am to 8 to 10pm, I do everything but I dont cook for him as he hate vegetarian meals. He cook on every Saturday he better than me lol

WOW, that is so unfair on you!!! Do you talk to him about it?
I get off him I work hard I'm hardly here etc. My job its weird shift patterns I could be in all day but then be working 6pm till 2am or 8am till 6pm. He works 8 till 5 monday to Friday gets in from anything from 5 or 7 depending on where hes been sent works on a Saturday 8 till 3 and picks up most sundays 8 till 12. All because he has everything to pay out ie his kids (previous relationships)etc
I am honestly at breaking point that everything he does is for other people never thought if me made a joke last night he bought me some bold said happy valentine's!!
Say I'm not bothered about him buying me things etc but when his child gets spoilt every weekend and I get him saying he broke makes my piss boil
Plus hes seeing bowling for soup on valentine's day with his mate coz he didnt realise what day it was really clues in date
Think I'm only with him it feels as a servant I cant afford to buy him out his share of mortage deposit etc

I lived with my parents until I was 26 and my partner had been living alone since 17 so he was far more domesticated than I was when we moved in together! 😂 we split a lot of chores like when we deep clean the house we do our own bathrooms, I do the spare room, he does his office and we both do the main bedroom etc

I HATE washing up and our rule is whoever doesn’t cook does the washing up (we alternate each night for cooking) but he knows I hate it so sometimes he’s nice and does it for me 😂 we do our own clothes washing etc and his job is putting the bins out on a Weds night. I like how we’ve easily slot into our roles!
so you wash your clothes separate to him washing his? doesn't that mean you do double the washings? would it not be better doing a dark load, light load, towels ect.

no hate just curious

I only work 2 nights a week and 1 evening at weekends, my husband works 5 long days so i do majority of the chores as i have more time although he likes to do some.
I cook, do washing, cleaning, tidying up the house and do DIY, pay the household bills as hubby hasnt a clue what needs to be paid and when. He likes to do ironing and washing up and kids lunches (if i haven't done them) . We do food shopping together as if i send hubby he always buys the cheaper option of what is on the list, sometimes that's a good thing other times its not 😃.
He does the gardening as im not very keen.
