Just watched Obsession.

What a film. The more I think about it the better I think it is.

Not sure it’s a multiple viewings as it’s pretty heartbreaking even though it’s funny in parts.

Same. Saw it on opening weekend. Didn't see it advertised but when I was at the cinema at see a different film, I saw a poster for it and thought I'd go and see it. Didn't research it beforehand....and omg what a film. It's the best horror I've seen in ages as it doesn't go all silly and stupid. It genuinely spooked me so much but now I'm interpreting it in different ways and thinking about how clever it actually was and actually really tragic.

I binge watched the new “terrifying series” on Netflix last weekend. I think it’s called “something very bad is about to happen”. It started off strong, a couple of jump scares but imo, it got pretty boring. I thought the concept/message was cool but equally not surprising (trying not to spoil) but it’s not as scary as it’s being made out to be imo

Can I just say *no spoilers* there is no animal cruelty as such in Obsession. There is a scene at beginning of film about a much loved pet. (Not a dog for the many dog lovers out there). It isn't cruelty. It is obviously a fake animal who sadly is passed away. But with regards animal cruelty it isn't a thing. Might up upsetting to see but it isn't like watching animals get abused. Nothing like that at all.

I’ve seen Obsession. SO good. Absolutely loved it. If felt like “new” horror if that makes sense? Different from anything else I’ve seen. Very disturbing and stays with you.

There’s no animal cruelty… just stuff to do with an already dead animal. Let’s face it though… when it comes to horror, there’s often cruelty or distressing content in general - just mostly towards other humans! So if cruelty bothers you, perhaps horror isn’t for you.

The director Curry Barker is exciting! Can’t wait to see the film he’s currently working on due out next year.

Watched Hokum with Adam Scott the other night. More creepy than outright scary but enjoyed it nonetheless.

I guess this is still horror, I just watched the new shark movie on Netflix - “Thrash”. I enjoyed it, very typical shark movie so you know what you’re getting before watching.
It reminds me of the other movie, crawl (I think) which is similar but with crocodiles. I enjoyed that movie too 😂

I watched Inhabitants on Amazon Prime last night. Made this year and not bad. If you like supernatural horror then you should watch it.

I can highly recommend Home Sweet Hell on Prime, if you like a slasher movie and a comically bad villainess. Really worth watching.

Thanks for the heads up, it helps. BIB: or maybe, just maybe, as an adult who knows what type of cruelty upsets you in made up stuff, you can avoid those bits where possible and carry on enjoying the rest of the genre. Or should I avoid all fruit as kiwi makes my mouth prickle?
The thing I love most about your post is that this is how someone is going to find out they're allergic to kiwis.

Watched Lake Mungo (really creepy) and Shelby Oaks (serviceable) on Prime this weekend.

I see they have Strangers Chapter 2 on there now as well.

I watched both of the Winnie the Pooh horrors on prime last night - I only watched because my fave tik tok horror reviewer is going to star in the 3rd one (yes they’re making another haha) as she loves the film!
Theyre absolutely disgusting and this is coming from someone who has watched the terrifier movies…just gross for the sake of being gross. I nearly turned the second one off but mama didn’t raise no quitter 😂
Would only recommend if you’re absolutely desperate for a gross gross horror movie - otherwise, I think you all can live peacefuly knowing you’ve not seen these 😂

Has anyone seen 'The Home' starring Pete Davidson? It's on prime. I'm a baby so I spent most of it looking three inches to the left of the TV rather than directly at it 😂
