I loved Cindy but it felt like they didn't know what to do with her once Mandy left and then they killed off Ella. She had no family around bar Tom (who also felt like a spare part for ages). Leah should've at least been given a better exit that wasn't another generation of teen pregnancy.
It just seemed stupid decisions to me. Axing Cindy who is one of the main characters from the start and has lots of links to many characters? And Leah? The daughter of arguably the shows main male star? They even axed James who was involved with the main male star and prominent and won the best actor award for the show. I honestly thought these axing all were a publicity stunt, especially as James has come back, but pretty sure at the time he posted online as if he was definitely gone

I honestly think they're struggling a lot financially and wouldn't be surprised if it ends within the next few years. It doesn't help that they've lost a ton of other long-running characters since with
Diane + John Paul set to leave, plus Perrie left last year

I don’t know what they can to do revive it, I think the soap format in general is dying and the way people watch shows impacts it. But then again, 3 episodes a week is working for The Traitors so, I dunno. Maybe seasonal breaks?

I think for me a big problem is they do twists for the sake of it. And I mentioned here with Sully it felt like he was a different character each ep, they need to write the characters more consistantly.

Plus the lack of character growth, I'm sure we all could predict exactly how Mercy & Ste will be til 2027 as there storylines are a constant repeat

Storylines are getting wrapped up very quickly. The breaking bad storyline has the bent cop caught already

I love the dialogue nancy: "I've been stabbed for gods sake" said with the same severity as saying someone spilt her coffee 😂😂😂😂

Maybe I should be in this episode because I feel in a parallel universe where I’ve liked this episode compared to everyone else 😂

I thought John Paul’s acting was generally good this episode (and I just know he had that ridiculous storyline and kissing fantasy scene with Sylver written into his exit contract 😂)

I can’t tell if you’re joking, but why would he do that when he’s straight IRL? 😄
