People are keep asking her why she doesn't put salt or pepper on her food and commenting about it being an ED thing and she's just replying "I've never done that!". How does she not remember the time she ended up in hospital becuase of her lack of sodium intake? Not saying she needs to go ham with the salt, but a wee sprinkle here and there would do the world of good.

Also where did she talk about repetative content? I need to see her response
It’s a response to one of the comments further down on that same video!!

also I think ‘I’ve never done that’ is her saying ‘I’ve never put salt on my food before, even before going vegan’. I just think that’s silly though, because surely her parents were cooking for her when she was younger, and I don’t doubt they put salt in her food.

She also specifically requests food to be cooked without salt (she defo used to do this at her college formals in Cambridge). Now that's strange. Unless you have a high cholesterol, ‘no salt’ isn’t a dietary requirement.

It is an eating disorder thing though, isn't it?
Holly falls under a lot of the symptoms for an eating disorder in general to be honest.

1. Furry arms
2. Obsessing over food (vegan vegan vegan vegan)
3. Eating the same thing every day (barely varying)
4. Exercise.... every. Single. Day. Even when injured.
5. She clearly doesn’t get her period.
6. Pale skin, can’t tan easily.
7. Thin and scraggly hair
8. Only seems to eat when others aren’t around/at unusual times (unless it’s a special occasion).
9. Her personality revolves around her food (once again, obsession)
10. She is still very skinny. Less so than before, but still very very small.

so yeah. maybe not a full blown eating disorder but she has a bad relationship with meals and her self image overall.

Yeah sorry Holly people do have channels focused around one (interesting) thing, but they also have a good personality to go with it!

Also saw she's asking for prank suggestions? Please no, I can't think of anything more cringe

I actually really enjoyed her uni vlogs at the time, but I just went back and watched an old video and it was so awful. All she did at uni was go to lectures, make notes, eat bland food, exercise, study and that was it - I’m a uni student now (I’m 3 years younger than holly) and I can’t believe how she spent her three years. You don’t have to be a party person at all but she never has any down time, like just watching telly or reading for fun. She also doesn’t seem to be clued up on politics/current affairs it doesn’t make sense. She has been so restricted in a routine like everything has to be organised/productive. Even when she shows her notes, there’s no colour or highlighter or anything - I don’t understands how holly studied this way. I’m really studious like holly but never in such a rigid way - all aspects of her life (food, study, exercise) are so controlled and restricted and it’s really unhealthy and damaging to mental health to behave this way. I hope someone intervenes and stops her continuing like this

This person wasn't even being rude !! they literally just suggested she try something new and she jumped straight on the defensive to now asking on IG for prank ideas. H O L L Y : please don't..

I really like her editing now, but I'm not interested in how she runs her business, nor her chopping veg. The reason Australia vlogs were good was because she tried new things and saw new places, nothing to stop her doing that now! Lockdown is still a thing, but I'm sure there's loads of cool things to do in the UK or places to see that she hasn't - & I do think she's very good at vlogging. Hope she takes the criticism in the way it's intended :(

Christ she is so agressive! She's blown up at people in the comments before too I remember. I hate that influencers (especially StudyTubers) label anything that isn't blind praise as "hate" and go off on one.

"yes i vlog a lot BUT it's diverse: chats & eat with me, chats, eating..." LMAOOOOOO HOW IS THAT DIVERSE

EDIT:

THIS! @sugafairyy literally started her message with "i mean no hate" and ended it with a heart, it was just a kind suggestion! why does holly take it so aggressively? this reminds me of that screenshot in which she was writing on her journal that her parents mean no harm, but she takes their help the wrong way... everytime anyone suggests something new or questions her life style, she gets very defensive!
holly, listen to others, accept suggestions, learn from your mistakes, don't be so stubborn!

Does Holly ever mention watching TV, Netflix etc?
She doesn't (she doesn't even watch youtube all that often). I remember when she was at Cambridge she put up a video called "why I don't watch TV or read books" where she essentially said she was proud of this fact. Becuase of the backlash she took it down less than a day later if I remember correctly.

She must think watching TV is a waste of time. I used to think that about video games, until my boyfriend pointed out video games have stories just like books and TV shows, so why judge them to be a waste of time? A lot of the media I consume is so I can keep up with conversations at work! Imagine how dull a conversation with her must be, she doesn't even keep up with the news

TV shows and films are wonderful escapism and also help us understand things; I would have thought Holly would enjoy them in order to keep her mind busy as she doesn’t seem to like being alone with her thoughts. Unless it’s to be “not like other girls”. It’s sad really because if she wants a romantic relationship in the future she’s going to find it very hard to find someone who would match her restrictive diet, and who doesn’t want to ever watch anything, and only go for runs. I wish her well but she really needs to wake up and see how she is restricting herself. It seems so strange to upload to YouTube but not watch anything else by other creators.

Fair enough not liking TV (I love TV personally, but I get it). However, how can you be proud of the fact that you go to one of the best research universities in the world and take no steps whatsoever to further your knowledge in other areas whatsoever. She is unquestionably hardworking, but academically curious? I wouldn't say so. Reading is one of the best ways you can develop your knowledge of your subject and the world around you - presumably one of the main aims of an Oxbridge education. Not just to say "I went to Cambridge".

Presumably.

I was really annoyed about that because I didn't see the video before it was taken down. I presume from the community post about it that she was making herself out to be superior to others because she doesn't watch TV or read books. Like they are for some lower class of person or something 🤦‍♀️

She still has that vibe about her though! She says she makes her videos because people ‘enjoy watching her life’, but I think it’s more to do with her needing the reassurance from other people!

She gets annoyed and defensive when people question her actions or her content, because she’s deeply insecure! I think criticism affects Holly more than she likes to let on.

In her mind, she probably thinks: ‘why should I get criticism? I’m being so productive, I went to Cambridge, i never waste my time with watching crap on TV, I have a YouTube Channel, a tutoring business, I’m a VeGan’. So, when she does get criticism, it breaks down her own version of herself (which is something she actually NEEDS so she can really reflect on herself and get some help!!).

Being ‘go, go, go’ (as Holly likes to use to defend her never having a day off) is dangerous! And not good for her perfectionism and mental health.

That reminds me of something someone said on another forum: if attending Oxbridge is the most interesting thing about you, then you're doing something wrong.

That also applies to Jack Edwards - Oxbridge want people to grow from them to bigger and better things, not use their institution as a status symbol for years to come.

Exactly! It’s about making important connections and friends while you’re there that can support you and help you after you leave. It doesn’t seem like Holly has really gained anything from Cambridge apart from her degree and her being able to say ‘I went to Cambridge.’

if she had the right connections, surely she would’ve utilised that to be able to go and get more research/institution based experience for going on to do her masters??

hang on- didn’t she do some work experience a while back in the cancer field??? And didn’t she say it wasn’t for her???

reading, watching, listening to things purely for entertainment and leisure is so important for relaxing and winding down.

without this I feel like she’s not exposed to different lives/relationships/stories.. makes her very very sheltered
