What I’d give to hear his P.O.V and context on her.
Also is the angle inconspicuous? I feel like the height of the photo would give “I’m taking a photo” and I’d be uncomfortable and hoping I want in frame. Maybe I’m thinking too much, just can’t stand her

Looks like a regular lipliner to me

Never ONCE heard or seen Hilary mention Elly in all the years I’ve been following her but now all of a sudden it’s all about Elly. She is the biggest fraud and everything she does is completely performative and a way to make herself more and more money. It’s all a big money grab.

How does Elly fit the product, out of curiosity? Would she have problems finding make up? Genuine question.

Because APPARENTLY the lip liners were designed for disabled people to use. But what about all her other products?? So first it was wanting primers for all skin colours and how she was changing the industry and now it’s lipliners for disabled people? She’s soooo performative!

But disabled is such a broad term/ does Elly in particular have problems with her lips or mobility issues with applying make up?

I feel like she’s just chosen an attractive ‘disabled’ person that actually has nothing to do with her product?

Without ever seeing her content or Instagram page, I saw on the launch that she says she lives with cerebral palsy so it’s not unreasonable to think she might have mobility and gripping issues where the square design to not roll away might be beneficial.

I’m sure in the past ive had a triangular lip pencil which is essentially the same thing

I didn’t take too much notice of the launch and the other ambassadors, but were any of the others legally blind? I’d hope so for the braille component.

I’m not against this inclusivity but HH has a way of making it about herself and jumping on bandwagons. As someone mentioned it’s been all about skin colours, it’s been all about age at one stage too. Seems to be forgotten. Must be hard to be the spokesperson for so many minorities Hil

I'm going to go against the grain here. Yes, HH can be annoying and at times, a drainer.

But the intent is great! All brands should be doing more to be accessible to those with disabilities/additional needs and we should see more people with disabilities in advertising. So I'm here for it, even if they don't get it 100% right, I think it's great.
Plus I've used some of the holme beauty products and like them.

You don’t think it’s one bit weird she’s jumping from “trend to trend”? First it was showing women of all ages then it became people of colour and now disabled people? Shes not doing anything special at all, all the major makeup brands have been using women of all ages and people of colour for years and years now.

I agree I think it’s important but this just seems a bit… exploitative? Like where is Elly’s story, where is the education? Where is the product fit with the ambassador, or at least an explanation of how the product helps people like Elly? Is it anything other than wheeling out an attractive disabled woman?

I haven’t watched any of her content or ads on this, so if she has done any of these things then I will absolutely eat my words. On her insta I couldn’t see anything.

Nope it’s simply like the primer launch… very me me me, look how good I am, very tokenistic the way she always works. Big show and a few weeks later will forget all about it.

Yes, we can’t forget that this is literally a business move and a way for H to make more money.
