Have you ever lost something and then lost your mind?

I lost my engagement ring at an old workplace. I was beyond distress. An ex colleague found it months later in a filing cabinet. I was so happy. My nanna was always losing keys. The local fire station were forever round with a ladder!

I’m not catholic but I have used this prayer several times and sometimes the item has appeared. "Dear St. Anthony, please come around: something is lost, and it cannot be found."

St Anthony has taken out a restraining order on me. 🫣

Thank you so so much for your responses. It's made me feel less alone. I'm so happy to read the stories of the random finds and send sympathy to those whose precious items haven't turned up.
