I’m way behind but the talk of lip reading has brought this back. When the Oprah interview first aired I read a post somewhere (may have been Reddit or Quora, I can’t remember)
The poster was profoundly deaf and said they were hyper aware of reading body language, facial expressions and of course lip movements.
So this poster said the biggest lie Meghan told in the interview wasn’t one of the seventeen lies that were well publicised.
The biggest lie she told was when Meghan said ‘The Queen has always been wonderful to me’
Apparently she stuttered over the word ‘wonderful’, could barely spit it out and closed her eyes as she said it. There was much more to it that I can’t remember.
Anyway the bottom line was that she loathed the Queen as she spat out the word ‘wonderful’ with closed eyes.
Basically, in the poster’s opinion, it was the biggest lie she told that day and they were shocked that more people didn’t pick up on it.
I don’t know if it would be worth our baddie language guy having another look but this particular poster was adamant that Meghan hated the Queen for the simple reason that she was the centre of attention and there was nothing in the world that Meghan could do to change that.
