Breaking news! On Sky and BBC! Following the resignation of Boris Johnson, Duchess Meghan is to be crowned Prime Minister of Great Britain and the Colonies (including the newly instated USA). I always knew the 6th in line thing was rubbish and that she is the 'ryghtefull heir'. According to sources she will be known as Her Supreme Highness and Mr Harry Markle will become First Ladye. She will retain the title P-wife but this will now refer to her being a Prime Minister and also a wife (Thatcher and May being previous P-wives).
I am aware that some mean-spirited people are saying that she has only done it to get free security when she visits us from Montecito, but I think it is a selfless act and she will probably feel very awkward when the Royal Family have to prostrate themselves before her.

I think @Cassandra333 is absolutely spot on. There has been resentment from years gone by bubbling and brewing. Diana didn't help, she thought she was doing fair by both children. As all mothers would want to. Harry believed he wasn't quite good enough ... and I guess he wasn't in so many ways. Proven convincingly .
My view on this has always been, that the RF coming out of the 50's and that dying dynasty of aristocrats post WW2 ( Brideshead Revisited _ if anyone fancies a good read of that time) who never had to work a day in their lives but were just 'Entitled" and filled their time with sports/horses/adultery /gambling/poetry ( the better sort _. aimless lives and much more

My views on the women of their time, they'd already adapted. they couldn't inherit property and their money wasn't their own.,they were chattels of their husbands and their children were always given to the fathers and on it goes. I see Princess Royal, and Bea as good examples of my thoughts on this, P A has nailed her good works and life and has had a wonderful life of service and I think Bea could follow this example.
As for Andrew and Hazehole, well we see how well they've done with filling the void... But in all reality this is why PC wants to slim down the monarchy, everyone feels entitled and there aren't fecking enough jobs to go round and he knows the great British public don't want to pay for them anymore .

I wish all of the media over here would totally blank them. Report nothing, ever. If the US do then fair enough, they live there, but I don’t think they’d bother if nowhere else was bothered. Starve them of attention. I think that would hurt them more than even bad publicity. Not even important enough to comment on.
