I don't think Faisal's snapping was too unrealistic as he had been mithered when he was already on the edge with the gangsters, lied to in order to coerce him to commit murder and then there was a wobble. Also when he confronted her about that her mask slipped a bit and she started giving him abuse, was fully expecting her to tell him he was a crap bag/had a tiny fool in that rant. He already had a problem and that problem was proving to be more unstable than he realised, every option mentioned in the lead up put him in more danger so he just lost it.

Very reminiscent of Sherwood though so didn't shock me as much.

I don't think the teacher is going to be a peeeedo (have to spell it diff on here) just that he wants to make himself look good and a caring teacher , it will make it less believable that he is abusing his wife , obviously not thinking about all the bruises she is covered in

Saying that though I could actually imagine something happening where Ryan ends up helping to move the body as the previous poster said , it is far fetched but not too over the top for Happy Valley

I’ve been mulling over the Ryan - TLR relationship. Ryan seems, in a lot of other ways, quite perceptive imo, albeit short tempered, and it doesn’t seem realistic to me that he would buy into TLR’s very thin ‘lovely’ facade. I mean, he couldn’t even keep up the image for more than a single visit, snarling at Neil more than once. I also think, given he’s a teenager I’m todays society, he will have extensively googled his dad. He knows what he did, bar exactly what happened to his mother altho he pieces that together relatively quickly despite Catherine’s daft riddles.

I struggle to imagine Faisal and Joanna having had a trade agreement of sex for drugs. There is no chemistry whatsoever. Are we meant to think he's frustrated with his wife who wants expensive building work etc? He seems such a clumsy flake. Probably thinking too much about it and it just is what it is.

No I agree, when she said the other week “do you want to go to bed” or whatever she said I was shocked, I thought he had just felt sorry for her or something and it had escalated

Yes agreed. He doesn't seem the type to sell drugs and use another woman for sex. He seems too timid.
His wife's family seem to be wealthy so I don't know why he is getting involved in drugs.

For money to keep up the lifestyle his wife wants/has and he must be resentful one of his daughters said his parents didn't pay for him to go to medical School like they did for his brother , that's what his daughters want too so he needs money for that

On Shrine podcast this morning they went through the original series 3 trailer and picked out all the bits we haven’t seen yet, there is absolutely loads to come, i honestly have no idea how they’ll fit it in to 3 episodes!
