I'm wondering if the old man that Tommy is staying with is a real OG and head of the family. He is calm and passive now but he didn't flinch when Tommy was trying to act hard at all. Also the guy in the van was most likely telling lies to get Tommy into that house. Definitely had murder house vibes.

Incredible.Knocked it out of the park.Sallie Wainwright has the emotional intelligence to be a psychologist...

The kitchen scene was a masterpiece.
You want to hate him and as soon as he says hiya it's like you cant.😂
Catherine keeps her dry wit and perfect delivery whilst Royce being a textbook psychopath cant empathise with her pain.
The way she left the photo albums out and they were then "waiting for him".
The whole episode served to humanize TLR so you end up feeling sorry for him and the fact he never "stood a chance" whilst honouring Catherine's roaring pain all the same. Her and Siobhan Finneran had a dream dynamic between them, they should pair up in the future.

Also loved the little scenes like Joyce hinting about the cake and Catherine finally wearing bright clothes in that final "golden" scene.10 out of 10.

I really enjoyed that. It wasn't what I'd expected but I think it worked very well.

I also kinda like how it's not perfectly watertight wrapped up with a 'and this is what they're all doing next'. You get just enough so you can give characters the ending you like for them 😅 Personally I'm thinking Ryan seemed overly pleased at being mistaken for a police officer so I like to think there will be another Sergeant Cawood in the future.

I do wish Ann had maybe had a better final appearance because her character got quite a rough deal this series between the drinking, exploding at Ryan, and not doing her actual job. But it does make her a very human character that she's still not over her horrendous trauma but she's at least still carrying on.
Yes I got the feeling Ryan will head into the police. And maybe it will return one day with him as the lead

Did anyone notice the shots of Ryan's shirt being pulled out after his chat with Rob...are we saying Rob did something to him there ? They said he had indecent images.
Also Tommy....I cant help it, feel like I could have been the one to help him change his ways 🤣🤣. Anyone else ladies ?
I thought Rob was looking a little too closely at Ryan's bum as he walked away

Please tell me Ryan is smarter than we think and is getting info out of TLR to tell the police. I hope feeling no one wanted him doesn't drive him into his arms. He loves Catherine, I hope that trumps all.

Absolutely bawled my eyes out in the last few minutes. I’m so fucking happy with that ending. She finally found peace. Absolutely fitting finale and brilliantly done. The kitchen scene with Tommy was just magic. Super happy they didn’t go down the silly plot twists and big reveals that have been floating around the internet this week. I think it was perfect

“we’ve had another bit of a tussle.. I won” proper cracked me up. I love those moments of humour amongst the darkness

Tbh I don't care if the side story was rushed

I'm so glad nobody died I just wish they did some cheesy ending with Catherine and her family celebrating or talking about going on holiday or something 😆

Although it was touching to see that the centre of the whole show was the trauma from Becky dieing so her being at the grave on her own made sense to me

Personally I don’t think there will be some big shocking reveal regarding Nevison/Neil/Daniel/Richard etc. There’s too much to wrap up in this finale episode and the focus is going to be on Catherine/Tommy/Ryan. I genuinely don’t believe any of the regular characters are going to be unmasked as some big baddie. We’ve already got the biggest baddie going with Tommy 🤣

they’ve also got to conclude the Joanna murder too. There’s so much to fit in one episode. Don’t know how they’re going to do it

Sorry but I'm still Number One Fan of Our Ryan, Anne should have fucking chilled her beans - he's a child, don't tell him he wasn't wanted by anyone and refer to him as "it"! I'm glad Daniel atleast spoke to Ryan like a human.

I also think Our Ryan is gonna stitch TLR up, he's got TLR to trust him and now knows his plans to go abroad 👀

I was happy with that ending. Still think it’s one of the best TV Dramas out there. Outstanding writing and performances. I love how she makes them all human, and real, the good, bad and ugly ❤
