I clearly am thinking about this show too much. I had a dream last night that my mom was helping TLR escape
I agree with this…definately Catherine’s son had jealously or unresolved feeling towards Becky. I think Becky’s relationship with TLR started with consent but then drugs and TLR being a psycho took over..I think this might be right- in the first series Catherine said her daughter was grape, TLR has consistently said he loved her to Ryan. The son sorry can’t remember his name, when he kicked off at Catherine (again in the first series) said something like Becky deserved it?? It sounded like he tried his best to be a ‘good’ child & Becky did what she wanted but was ? The favourite?![]()
Yes! Thought this too!I dont what what nationality the Kznezivicis are (cant even spell their name), but beetroot soup (borscht?) is popular with Polish people and other eastern Euorpeans. . But yes, it doesnt hurt that it's redthey'll both be peeing red after eating all that.
Remember Ryan was writing letters to him for years as a kid. So I could very much see a young lad mentioning his gamer tag when he's telling him that he got a new games console for a Christmas/birthday (because it was all one sided so they'd have been like diary entries). I think it would have HAD to be written down, given the underscores and X's.How would his username have even come up in conversation?!
The bridge is awesome!I've been sorting out stuff. I've been copying every CD I own onto a hard drive so I can de clutter.
That meant I can move some DVDs to an easier to find position.
While I've been doing all this I found stuff I haven't seen for ages.
One is the box set of The Wire and all of The Bridge.
Might watch those two again.
Or I might just watch all of Happy Valley again in time for Sunday.
One of the top comments on The Daily Fail article said it was Neil who gave him it! Probably makes sense why Ryan asked how he knew it.Remember Ryan was writing letters to him for years as a kid. But it highlights TLR obsessing over him enough to memorise his letters down to the punctuation, while Ryan only vaguely remembers what he wrote.![]()
I came out the train station earlier there was cyclist and I double looked at himI clearly am thinking about this show too much. I had a dream last night that my mom was helping TLR escape![]()
As an English teacher:I remember in English Literature lessons at school having the symbolism in Tess of the D'Urbevilles hammered into us.
Tess was like a lamb to the slaughter and red was always a symbol of her impending doom.
A red ribbon in her hair, her being given ripe strawberries by the villain etc.
Red red, red, red - all the damn time.
Just let me read the book, already!!!
Anyway, that red stuff symbolism came right back into my head when the old dude was chopping beets.
That chattering chimp in my mind said, "red symbolism, red symbolism! If it wasnt symbolism he'd have been cutting carrots or celery."
bleeping chimp.
Slow Horses and Tokyo Vice are brilliant. Scott and Bailey or Broadchurch if you haven’t seen them already. McMafia (for more TLR).What other shows are you guys watching this week? I feel like I don’t know what to watch until Sunday rolls aroundany recommendations would be welcome
The White Lotus is excellent! I can see why Jennifer coolidge won her awards for it. I couldn't stop thinking about it for days after watching it! It's THAT good! A friend suggested it when we were talking about Happy Valley and I was abit like 'yeh bet its not that good!' But I thoroughly enjoyed it.What other shows are you guys watching this week? I was recommended White Lotus but only got to episode 3 of the first series. Just couldn’t get into it. Am I missing something? The White Lotus is excellent! Hv:
I think the old man and his beetroot has a bigger part to play in the final episode. Like everyone else said, the way he never flinched or seemed remotely intimidated by TLR shows he's probably in another league.
I think Ryan will save his nans life.
I knew I recognised him, I just couldn’t put my finger on where fromI’m just watching Silent Witness. You’ll never guess who’s turned up in the ep..?
Clue: He’s getting married on Wednesday!!![]()
The younger lad living in the caravan, he said he was fixing a leak in the cellar as his alibi (don’t want to say too much in case you haven’t seen both episodes!)I've just watched that and I didn't spot him. Was he one of the main characters? I need to know how oblivious I actually am
.
Yeah, I was just about to say that in a sea of stupid theories, that’s undoubtedly the stupidest of all.no offence to your friend but the idea of Catherine being bad is absolutely ludicrousI think they’ve missed the entire point of the show
Yep, disparagingly calling him ‘grandad’ and being extremely rude to him was a very silly move on TLR’s part. Whilst the old guy may not necessarily be a Knezevic relative, he’s clearly ‘someone’ significant within that particular organisation.the old man with TLR in the house.. he's definitely not just some "grandad"
as soon as I saw him I said to my fam, I bet he's hard as duck.
I think Tommy is out of his depth in that house but just doesn't know it lol
