Had to unfollow. All the breastfeeding content is too much. Idk if it’s just where I live but breastfeeding (Australia) is already ‘normalised’ and accepted and no one needs a million posts of her baby on the boob/pumping bottles hanging out of her bra. Couldn’t breastfeed because of my baby’s health conditions and I just find it triggering. I feel like people use ‘normalising’ breastfeeding as a way to just brag about how they’ve ‘stuck with it’ on social media and it’s this big superiority complex

Iam in the UK and I thought the same here, a few years ago it was not but now I see women breastfeeding everywhere

I watched her new video. I'm glad she overall had a positive experience even though it certainly was far from a simple birth. 4 days, christ on a bike!

I can kind of understand it, because breastfeeding is hard, so it must feel like an achievement if you’ve managed to keep it going, but it definitely feels like it’s being rubbed in your face if you didn’t manage!

I feel like that’s a bit unfair. I’m not yet a mother, but afaik, breastfeeding is a VERY hard, time intense full time (and much more) job. So if you bf, your life gets clearly dominated by it, and that reflects in Hannah sharing her life online honestly. There’s no other possibility I guess? (Not saying, nourishing your child without breastmilk is any less of an achievement ofc.)

I find the way she talks so annoying!

Glad her eczema goatee has cleared up though. That used to knock me sick.

I think in those early days, your whole life is taken up by breastfeeding. You forget that no one else cares 😂

I enjoyed her birth vlog, I commend her for actually making notes 😂 if it were me in labour I wouldn’t be in the mood to document everything. Despite being 4 days long, she was a trooper and had a positive experience ☺

I enjoyed it too.

I get why she made the notes - I also had a looooooong labour, and made copious notes just to pass the time 😆

Hannah also strikes me as the kind of person who would try to take notes for her own sake even if her labour was short, but that would obviously be more difficult.

I find her incredibly annoying and not very genuine or forthcoming when it comes to emotions. I also feel something is a bit off with Dan.

However, I did feel for her having such a long labour and I'm glad everything was fine in the end.

I find she can often come across as feeling better than you and Dan seems so closed off 😬 even in her labour story she was glad her contractions stayed painless enough so he could finish his game?

Plus I'm feeling petty tonight and her staggered way of speaking really irritates me. I have to watch it sped up but when she played the clip of her talking just after her C-Section she was speaking less 'formally' and it felt so much more genuine.

Watching her birth story video right now and honestly really enjoying it. So many birth story videos push (pretty irresponsibly imo) the whole "natural", unmedicated homebirth stuff, or severely overdramatize the whole experience for views. Hannah's video is factual and down-to-earth. Congratulations Hannah!

I just watched her birth video, someone else mentioned it but I can’t believe that Dan carried on playing a game with his friends while his wife was in labour 🙄

Wasn't it really early on though? He wasn't exactly going to just sit with her for hours on end when labour had barely even got going yet. I'm sure if Hannah had told him that it was getting full on/that she needed help, then he'd have stopped.

If she has to go through it then he absolutely should sit with her whilst she is!
