I find she can often come across as feeling better than you and Dan seems so closed off 😬 even in her labour story she was glad her contractions stayed painless enough so he could finish his game?

Plus I'm feeling petty tonight and her staggered way of speaking really irritates me. I have to watch it sped up but when she played the clip of her talking just after her C-Section she was speaking less 'formally' and it felt so much more genuine.
The board game thing made me crazy! I understand having your own hobbies but the idea my husband would want to finish his game night while I was in labour is laughable. There will be other game nights!

I just watched her birth video, someone else mentioned it but I can’t believe that Dan carried on playing a game with his friends while his wife was in labour 🙄
I dunno, with my second at the start of labour, I was also a bit in doubt if it was the real thing, and even though he knew, I didn’t expect him to drop Everything and run to be with me… maybe it was the same thing with her, she didn’t expect it, so he didn’t feel like he had to stop yet? I did like her birth video, and generally like her content, even though she can be a bit smug sometimes!

Maybe! I just think surely it’s different when it’s your first baby. If it’s your second or third baby etc. then maybe it would make sense as you’re more sure whether labour is starting or not. But surely if you can be (if you’re in the next room like Dan was) then you’d want to be there for all of it.

I have a feeling she probably downplayed it to him and assured him it was fine. I’d imagine if it got worse he would rush back to her. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I feel like they have a very chill relationship

Yeah I always got the impression they have an overall chill relationship but if Hannah didn't want him playing a game I'm sure she'd get him telt

I know. That’s proper caveman behaviour. I would have skinned my husband if he’d tried something like that. Get off your bleeping computer and support your partner, you absolute nerd.

I think they have a different relationship to what most people expect, she would have told him if she wanted him there and he would have listened, as long as she seemed happy that’s all that matters

I don't know, I get the feeling she's overcompensating and tbh, even being a bit pick me about how she's not clingy like other girls. I don't really buy that she's as chill as she claims to be and I feel she's not as happy with Dan doing his own thing as she makes out.

I think she overcompensates too, especially when she posted about how she proposed to him.

I may be projecting, but her and Dan's whole vibe reminds me of the situation I had with my now ex (my son's dad). I really overcompensated for how much he didn't give a tit so I made up this reality where we were so chill and alternative when actually he was just a bleeping manchild and I was unhappy.

I feel like Hannah is very open about having a type A personality (especially when it comes to work) and I'm sure she carries that energy into a relationship. Honestly I feel like we see so little of Dan, there's a very real possibility he appears laid back because he's never had the chance to show off his actual personality. For all we know he could be as highly strung as Hannah

He’s Type Z 😆

If my guy ever let his hair get so long and limp, I would file for divorce. He looks like a long-haired Steve Buscemi.

There's a pretty big margin between chill and uninterested and unfortunately, at least from what I've seen, he falls into the latter. Let's not forget that Hannah's video footage is edited and I can't help but think that if this is the best of their relationship/what she's happy to share, that what we're not seeing is bleak.

I guess most of you know Grace Victory and Helen Anderson? I see parallels in the dynamics of the three relationships. Concerning all three of the guys, you don’t know, is he just „chill“, or is he uninterested? Maybe that’s the fate of well-earning influencers (and mine…).

It is strange, Hannah strikes me as a no BS, stubborn, headstrong person. With all her organisation, strict timetables and schedules she seems fairly uptight.
They definitely seem like an opposite couple

Ok, so I don't really like Hannah, but reading that her husband was playing an effing board game and waited to finish it off whilst she went into labour infuriates me for her.

I would dump a man who did that to me for our FIRST child, and I'm not being funny, but Hannah isn't exactly an able-bodied pregnant woman - she has a stoma bag and missing part of her digestive system. Whilst it's not a debilitating condition, she's not exactly on the same level as someone with a full digestive system. Being pregnant takes a hell of a toll on the body, and labour is incredibly stressful on the body. Additionally, for all I know, Hannah may have trauma regarding hospitals after her experience going through all of that - to leave her alone at a frightening time for any woman is just peak jack-a.

Whilst I'm sure it's very safe, as a concerned partner with more of an anxious mindset, I'd be nervous about something happening, and that four-day labour says it all.

As a husband, you're supposed to be there to support your partner first and foremost, not when it's most convenient for you.
