Feel a bit bad for her when she acts like a data analysis girl boss with her year 6 homework graphs. Doing a fake presentation about thumbnails in her living room and pretending it’s deeply interesting. Even her Subscribers are commenting on this vid to gently suggest these numbers are massively warped and meaningless due to early sub clicks.

I’m not a data person by any means but I have to demonstrate outcomes for work occasionally so I’ve skimmed a couple of books on data presentation. And like… the only real rules are 1. use meaningful data and 2. don’t use pie charts. Meanwhile Hannah’s whole shtick is putting useless stats into the same useless visual.

BTW I can’t emphasise enough, it’s not that deep to me - I work in the arts lol so explicitly not a science wizz. But Hannah’s whole thing is that she looooves the numbers and audience analysis. It’s soooo nerdy!! She’s such a type A girly!!

The social media career path has obviously paid off financially but I think there’s been a massive opportunity cost of a more typical, more dignified career where she could have used her brain more (assume she was academic as a kid).

I think this is apparent in her constant over-emphasis on any aspect of content creation which legitimises it, usually by proximity to other professional areas - Eg stats, business management, academia, training courses. The same reason she makes networking events, branding, Patreon, statistics etc. into her public ‘’work identity’’.

She pretends those things are the substance of her career, when the real substance is what gets her views - talking about sex, exploiting her child and medical history, then to a lesser extent reading tit books and buying weird charity shop clothes. That’s the dichotomy of her content…. super organised, high achieving personality but the videos are mostly mind numbing or sheer exploitation of her intimate life.

She genuinely seems highly unsatisfied with this line of work so dresses it up as best she can. IMO it’s also the same reason for the half arsed career change and all the stalling about decisions until she has another baby.

Totally agree with you. I think she is unhappy in this job, she is obviously clever and articulate, and could have done something much more intellectually stimulating.

Yes, this! I always used to think Hannah was just about the only YouTuber/influencer out there who had any kind of work ethic, back when she used to put out one main channel and one side channel video a week plus a new podcast, and she'd pre-film so if she went on holiday or took Christmas off, you couldn't really tell. Ever since she had a baby, she's just making whatever she can scrape out of the bottom of the barrel for the side channel (ham sandwiches, come on), changes her "I'm Hannah and I make videos about..." every single time because she has no actual idea what she makes videos about anymore and is living off her reputation as someone who puts thoughtful effort in when she hasn't done that for years. It's like when you look up bullet journals and discover the only people maximising their productivity with specialist journals and tools etc are people who don't actually seem to produce anything. "Get up 5am for exercise and acid water and soggy uncooked porridge. 9am colour in my reading tracker. 11am draw some boxes to colour in my mood every day. 10pm so tired after a long day of not doing anything, write down bedtime in journal".

Exactly! If she’s so nerdy and conscious about content creation I wonder why she hasn’t addressed this phenomenon which I’ve seen discussed a bit online. I mean I know why - because it would shatter the lie she soothes her ego with.

Scheduling family stuff, having goals and friendships, family planning, buying second hand clothes and reading books is extremely mundane life for most of us that we squeeze around an actual job. I do wonder about her friendships with normal people eg other parents. And what they must think of her nonsense. If one of my mates was filming herself doing all the stuff I do outside of work, as the work itself AND pretending it’s a super-duper-clever-person job I’d be miffed. Like babe… you’re trying on depop skirts in your living room. Nothing ground breaking is happening here 😅

Especially when she mentioned having an editor for her videos and someone who helped with thumbnails and video descriptions. I get ‘annoyed’ when content creators think they have very important jobs and are so busy when in reality, I don’t know what they do with their time. How many emails are there to go through a day? Haha

So true :( I think this is mainly due to the fact that she's really set on having two kids so she doesn't want to ramp up her work just to then have to pause everything to go on maternity leave. She's been in this limbo for a while now...

Aargh, it's my favourite day of the year already and I'd misplaced the document!

Right. Patreon has become vague at 1.7k paid members and Hannah whinges that the vast majority are on the lowest tier, so we're looking at somewhere in the vicinity of £61,200 coming in from Patreon which is 33.6% of her income, so £180k+ a year, which is so much more than I earn that I can't even begin to imagine what my life would look like if I was her, filming myself eating tit meal deal sandwiches. Still working on the minimum Patreon tier, she's gone from minimum £98k last year to minimum £182k this year which is very much not what I would call "plateau" - I'd call that "my income has doubled".

She also complains that her creator consultancy percentage is lower than last year but the income has gone up so much that the actual number in pounds sterling has gone up from £6900-9170 last year to £8200 upwards this year (the upper tier is now £20 and that just takes the maximum numbers vanish beyond my mental horizons - even bearing in mind the massive amounts of money, I don't believe there's any chance she's getting anywhere near £1.2m a year from all this crap). And she complains that she's not getting anything from one of her podcasts or her second book but I reckon she's doing alright without them.

I don’t understand if she is earning that and Dan has a decent job why are they stuck in that flat?

Probably because hers is variable and the house prices in London are probably not what they want. She’ll be off to Manchester sooner rather than later

She must have a good accountant since looking at the financial statements for her business (Snake People Media, as of March 2026) - net assets (accounting term, how much money in the company) are down year-over-year just a bit. Interesting that she's pulling in £182k in salary while the company has plateaued/declined slightly. Either her income isn't nearly as high as she lets on, or her expenses are incredibly high.

Ngl I thought we’d find out at the end of her video today and the fact it was left on a cliffhanger felt really manipulative 🤣 even though I know its better for views and is a you tube / tv thing to do !

I do wish her the best and I think this is a good sign but i was so expecting to find out based on the video and soemone saying thered be an annoucment in the live chat at the end of the video

I agree.
however I suspect her pateron’s will know first? And that’s what’s she’s trying to do… drive people there
I think if it was a negative/she wasn’t pregnant (again I hate this sort of speculation) she’d have included it in the video

She stressed me out with those ovulation tests 🤣

I really hope she is pregnant :)

Despite saying at the beginning of the year she did not want speculation on whether she was pregnant while undergoing IVF treatment (which is incredibly understandable) she has invited such speculation deliberately by leaving this video on a cliff hangover. No integrity whatsoever, just a cash grab and trying to supplement her patreon payroll, which as discussed earlier in the thread, is a stupid amount of money.

Maybe I’m being dim but I wonder about what she calls her ‘income’ / ie is some of this filtered through her incorporated business and some of it not? Surely almost all of it goes through the business and she withdraws a similar salary regardless of these fluctuations. It seems really weird she’s presenting it like it’s just random bits and pieces of freelance work as a sole trader when really it’s the breakdown of her gross income as a successful media business?

All of her business income should flow through the corporation for tax purposes. She probably wants to seem more "relatable, so she leaves out the corporation. All of the UK-based influencers I follow have corporations.

she is pregnant ! 🙂 she’s 15 weeks so I guess that would make her due around early January (I’m 23 weeks and due in November so guessing purely from that)

I know she’s annoying but I am genuinely pleased for her . This is a very wanted baby
