I hope you take some time to read the other comments on your post and reflect on your attitude, it's really sad that fellow HCPs feel like this towards people in their care.

Yes this comment ducked me off. You have no idea how guilty we all felt that we simply didn’t have the time to do patients hair as often as we’d like. We’d try, but at the peak it was crazy and we were just doing what we could to keep them alive and comfortable. Covid icu patients are sick sick sick. So to have whole icus full of them was quite something. Today I am at work and it’s business as usual. All patients in my bay have had their hair brushed and braided!

100% this. Sadly she’ll have no idea of his likes/dislikes only what she’s been told by others. She has said she’s having therapy and has PTSD and whilst the baby won’t remember his first few months without his Mum, she will do.
Can someone explain why she is still in that rehab hospital? On her Live she basically made it seem like she was perfectly fine, completely cured, and was in there of her own volition and could leave whenever she wants. I find that hard to believe!
Yes I wondered that as she came across as quite healthy on the live. Compared to Kate Garraways husband who is still almost non verbal and bed bound but has just returned home. Although I’m definitely not medically qualified and realise there is probably a lot more to it than being awake and just *appearing* well.
im guessing dereks home because he’s got 24 hour care As he probably has a lot of problems but can Be cared for. he probably won’t get much better any time soon.
I think grace thinks she fine becuase she’s alive talking and starting to walk they Probably want her to get to stage when she goes home shes Able to move etc
She mentioned in her stories a few days ago that she’s only just learnt how to take a few steps (with help) and says her lungs are really bad. I think she’s pretty much bed bound still.

I can’t wait for the Demo Lovato comparisons. You know, because they’re both ex Heroin usersApparently she is a miracle and her body is 100% healed, she won’t have any long term effects either. The doctors are absolutely flabbergasted and have absolutely no idea how she is even still here. They know it has absolutely nothing to do with the countless medical professionals who worked on her unconscious body for months and kept her alive!! No no, it’s because she is Grace

I can see where you're coming from... Surely she could just a few decs up when she gets out of the hospital?
I think it’s quite sweet and reminds me of something my mum would do
I suppose at the time they didn’t know if she would ever come home and perhaps the thought of putting the xmas decs away would have been too sad in case it would have been the last Christmas they would ever spend with their daughter.
It’s hard to know how we would react to such a traumatic situation.
Sorry guys I know I keep harping on about my dad but just to add some context when he was in a coma the lovely nurses combed and washed his hair for him and they also shaved his face for him every other day! So its just as you say, she was in hospital in the peak of a pandemic what did she expect...a hairdresser to come in every day and do the curly girl method on her?! She's so ungrateful. And on a separate note - you'd think seeing the sad state India is in at the moment and how many people are dying there every day, that it might humble her. At this stage I don't think anything will humble her though.
So for all she’s shouting about being a miracle and being fine to go home it seems like today is the first time she’s taken steps unaided, I think everyone knows she has a long road ahead so I’m not sure why she’s pretending that everything’s ok
My mum has left the Christmas lights up in the windows until my sister and I are both fully vaccinated. I thought it was just until the days stopped being so dark but it's now May and it was getting ridiculous - and it turns out that's the reason (metaphorical dark rather than literal dark, I guess?).
Someone on another site said that she is speaking in affirmations. Which does make sense and goes along with her way of thinking. I don’t think Grace is as well as she is saying but I understand that as she someone who believes in affirmations how important it is to speak health over her life.. hope that makes sense. I remember Charlie put up some affirmations when Grace was in a coma ( at deaths door we know now ) I’m sure they believe that’s how she was healed. The collective intentions sent out by thousands of internet strangers. I’m not one to knock anyone’s belief system at all but I wish she would recognise that it was the NHS that kept her alive and not ViBeS
I thought she was fronting it out but she has come out with so much bull I’ve no idea what she really is about. I think reality will really kick when she is home doing day to day things. She is in rehab at the minute and isn’t living real life. She won’t be well enough to do what she used to, or what she thinks she will be doing. She will tire much easier and probably be reliant on support for a little while at least.
She’s now also a mother with responsibility but who for the last 5 months hasn’t actually done the physical/emotional mothering at all. Her beautiful boy will become mobile within months and need weaning, that’s a challenge for any parent never mind one recovering from severe illness.
