I really hope Grace uses this experience to highlight that not all births are perfect. I have a high BMI but otherwise healthy...that I know of and had a text book pregnancy...but went overdue and was induced...leading to emergency c section due to baby's ctg being suspicious...it took me months to properly bond. As I didn't feel my baby being born or even see him as he was resuscitated in a separate rllm for around half an hour...I never felt like he as mine at first. Took me months to bond and love him. And has put me off ever having another baby. I never felt that instant love...didn't enjoy the cuddles. Literally fed him and husband did everything else as i was in shock for a good few weeks. What made this all the more traumatic is that I had never ever heard of anyone discuss birth trauma before.. the only things I had ever heard about labour, babies being born etc is that instant love...etc...so it would really be good for her to not sugar coat this and actually be honest about her experience.

Birth trauma and PTSD is horrible...and my baby was 'fine'. Must be even harder of baby isn't fine.

P.s I had an emergency c section at 09 am on the Saturday and left hospital Sunday afternoon..but me and baby were both fine so may be different in Grace:s case.
I had a super high BMI of 48 but suspect Graves is quite a bit higher as she looks a lot bigger than me

The baby is certainly premature and they will have to stay a bit more at hospital. I am glad they shut down the phones for once because they have no time for this BS now. It's their first baby, apparently premature so it must be even more stressful and requires physical and mental availability. Moreover, as much as Grace and Lee want to appear as cool and wise, they clearly don't seem resourceful. She moans for nothing and he left mum's house like two minutes ago.
Hope they'll be back in time with good news of the baby.

Grace and all the others who do that “let’s pull our trousers jeans or leggings up so high that our fan literally moulds around the fabric” makes me feel sick. It looks bleeping dreadful and I don’t know why they post it. I’m a big girl, you wouldn’t catch me dead with my camel toe on parade I know how to dress for my shape. V.weird new flex.

My Best Friend had her first baby super early (she is all okay and perfect now) but she got sectioned twice. It was mentally too much and she has history of bad mental health, so I am super worried for Grace. I seriously hope we bring to light that pregnancy and motherhood is not all roses. Our generation has the developed this dangerous idea that mothers before us must have been stupid cause we now know how to 'breathe correctly' 'play music' 'water birth' during childbirth to stop complications.

I think traumatic births are more common than most would think. Of all of my friends who have given birth only one hasn't had to have an emergency c section and even at that, she still said her natural birth was awful and she doesn't want to do it again (I haven't got kids so I don't know details of why she won't do it again, but she's determined no more babies.) I think if it's been a difficult birth and Grace has the courage to talk about it, she'll be filling that Internet's Big Sister role she wants to play and could actually really help some people.

God, what a horrible situation for them all. Hoping she makes a full and fast recovery and can enjoy her baby boy.

Just seen the update. How heartbreaking. Hopefully any influencers left that are COVID denying or just being covidiots about restrictions can look to this and wise up a bit.

Poor her. I never would have imagined it was that serious. I wonder where she caught it, it's depressing to think she probably got covid during one of her necessary check ups. Just a reminder of how scary things are, especially right now, and not to take anything for granted.

Plenty of healthy people have got covid and serious complications. I can’t help but think now isn’t the time to bring this up. It’s a very sad situation for new parents to be going through
