Honestly Grace went to a good university and has a good work ethic and makes ethics, politics and sustainability key features of her personal and commercial brands. Naturally a lot of her followers are going to be people similar to that, also intelligent people. Then you get the little fake tan big bum wanting followers. These are the ones that follow her blindly and believe everything she feeds them because they think putting on tala and buying a resistance band gives them Grace’s life.
Don’t make your platform so focussed on all these qualities that naturally draws in intelligent, hard working young women to form a big part of your following and then get offended and go on rants because some of your followers have a brain and know things about business. She loves to be the only intelligent one and assumes all her followers are minions so has to claim she’s being hated on when her switched on followers call her out on real business and ethical issues. You’re not the only #girlboss that is aware of the business world
You're absolutely right and I was thinking that the other day. As much as Grace wants to tit on GG and Tattle I've seen intelligent people on her forums and I can tell it comes from the fact that Grace showed herself as intelligent / an Oxford student and stuff so these kinds of people will be drawn to her. Like I've learned more on sustainability discussions here than I would with my own friends. On top of drawing intelligence, because sustainability itself is a niche topic yet one that can be really exploited so those who follow her who really do care / have real life experience and knowledge are really going to look through with disciplined lenses and aren't going to be easily influenced by whatever #girlboss tit is. And if Grace respected this actual intelligent following instead of being narcissistic, she would have been a truly inspiring respected influencer but now she's literally surrounded by bimbos and minions.

I find the title of this article very interesting when the video is suppose to be a “day in the life of a CEO” they obviously realised it was a pathetic attempt at playing CEO and decided to play on the fact that she’s a total show off! God whoever edited the video also did a great job at making grace seem like an hole, it’s brilliant!

it’s just a shame because her business ideas are great, I was so excited for her launches and 100% ready to support. Can you imagine how amazing the businesses would be if she truly took on constructive feedback from her followers (who are the only reason she’s able to have these businesses in the first place which she conveniently ignores to add to her self made CEO narrative). If her aim is truly to be the best in the industry for what she is providing, she should be taking feedback from the users of the products and listen when they say their leggings are ripping or the bands are dirty/ripping because at the end of the day we chose to support her by buying these products and continue supporting through feedback rather than just going to another brand. Unfortunately her arrogant approach of publicly making fun of people that try and give feedback has prevented this.

It's because I respected her business ideas and work ethic that I followed her more closely to begin with. And now we're here because of her attitude. But when I read the GG forums, it seems like she's always had an underlying arrogance, which is unfortunate. But even if I ignored that, I myself just now see dishonesty, arrogance, lies, and lack of transparency and absolute disrespect towards those who ask for it when young Grace always pushed against these things.

What frustrates me about Grace is that she seems to not be able to take criticism. Let’s be real, her brands wouldn’t be successful if she didn’t throw herself into everything she sells. No one would buy her crappy guides, given she’s not a PT/ doesn’t have professional expertise in the fitness field. She only made money out of them cause she had a butt that is largely genetics, without dismissing her own hard work and discipline. We’ve all noticed she seems to stray away from fitness until she wants to promote her items. That’s the issue, no one would buy her tit except her minions if she wasn’t promoting it. TALA is a tit show throughout, B_ND is overpriced and always out of stock, Shreddy App is impractical given it’s a reflection of her old guides (I bought her app for two months, it’s an introductory accessory for beginners into fitness lol there’s no form of progressive overload to obtain sustainable & long lasting results). When she said the Nike thing on twitter, I thought Ben Francis is the owner of gymshark yet he is not the face of it like Grace throws herself to be (CEO titles and tit) she sounds like a obnoxious clown and it show through her lack of growth on Instagram and decline in YouTube (source: social blade). Regardless of the CEO tit she feeds her ego with; I find her so unprofessional for a ‘CEO’ to promote products to the extent she does, it illuminates how much of a fail her brand is had she not been throwing HERSELF into everything she supposedly owns. I loved grace for her personality but she’s grown into a #bossbabeeeee - profit obsessed individual and it’s unfortunate. She has potential but with the way she’s going .... good luck. I’m out ✌🏽✌🏽

I definitely believe she works hard and has a strong work ethic. I just don’t think the amount of work it takes to run 3 start up businesses at the same time is being done. She’s not truly CEO of 3 start up companies. There’s no way someone creating 3 businesses from nothing that are all 1-2 years old, paying employees etc could afford to buy and renovate a house for millions of pounds, new businesses are way too high risk to be spending that kind of money on personal expenses and there are so many first hand examples of businesses that fail and have cash flow problems as a result of the CEO spending large amounts of money on personal expenses during its first years, eg we work.

I would have so much more respect if she just admitted she had help starting up rather than just saying ‘investors’as if they don’t still play a big part in running the companies. it wouldn’t take away from the fact she works hard it would just promote transparency. At the end of the day she wouldn’t have been able to start or continue these businesses without her followers, so a certain level of transparency is required - we’re all stakeholders.
yeah, I didn’t mean to make it sound like she doesn’t work hard or have a work ethic. You can’t build a brand or make profit unless you do. However, there is a lack of transparency and also apparent privilege because I’m sorry but no CEO has bought a house like that at such a young age.

I appreciate her bringing attention to such important race, gender and political issues. It’s rare for a woman in her position because it doesn’t please everyone. She should be definitely celebrated for that. However, as a graduate living pay day to pay day it’s hard to swallow that her followers blindly worship everything she does. I miss the grace that juggled uni, YouTube and fitness. I really wanted to be as successful as her at one point

Also the URL says 'Instagram Influencer' which means it was the original title. But someone obviously asked for it to be changed... Lol

Ben Francis actually stepped down as CEO from his own company (he wrote an article about it on his blog) because he didn't feel like he was the best person for the job. And appointed a new CEO. IMAGINE Grace doing this?! Her head is far too large.

Lol for real! It’s incredible to have your own company and props to her for all she’s achieved but she seems to be more fixated on the title than substance

Yea it's totally weird to be so obsessed with yourself. I laugh if I think about the CEO of my workplace acting the way she does. Then again, most CEOs have some level of narcisistic personality disorder. Hers is probably massively heightened by the fact she has a large following and people that wipe her ass on a daily basis. It's a recipe for disaster.

Grace has the arrogance of an upper class person who has always gotten everything they wanted purely because they had the money.

I actually used to really like Grace, at one point I was considering applying to Oxford and her videos did offer some sort of insight and (before I knew much about her) she did seem relatable and interesting, and I liked her fitness content as it motivated someone like me, who has never been that into fitness. I only got properly turned off from her when she bought that bleeping house and you just see how privileged she is. I will be the first to hold my hands up and say that as a white, cisgender woman, I am incredibly privileged, but Grace is so much more than that and I find it so insulting for her to sit there and claim that a 'positive mindset' is what will make me a CEO. Yeah, sure, it will probably benefit me and it won't hurt to be a positive person, but neither will a massive cheque from mummy and daddy so I'm gonna take what you say with a pinch of salt Grace.

I agree with everyone else who has said this, that she is literally unable to take criticism and takes it as a personal attack on her. Taking every single negative comment about her business as a personal attack on her is such childish behaviour and makes it so hard to take her seriously. I can never imagine acting that way and I'm younger than Grace. It just goes to show how she's never been told 'no' before in her life and doesn't like the criticism that she receives.

Lastly, and I apologise that this post is so long, it really ducks ME OFF that she still preaches that TALA is a sustainable company. They've just celebrated their 1 year anniversary and they have had more launches than I can count. Selling faulty products is not sustainable. Importing good from all around the globe is not sustainable. Grace needs a proper reality check to understand that no one is critiquing her personally (not from what I've seen anyway), we're merely calling her out on her massive realms of bull.

IBM pays their interns based in london approx £19,000. Uni fees are £9250 so at the very least she could have paid for one year from her internship. At the early stages of her instagram, she also had a £10 e-book called ‘eat my insta’ so I imagine she also used proceeds from that to put towards her tuition.

Also, in case anyone is wondering, it absolutely was not worth the £10.
Did she not just use the government student loan like 90% of uni students in the UK?

What I don’t understand is why she brags so much about going to Oxford? Didn’t she study music?

I’m in the US so maybe it’s different but here even if you study at one of the prestigious schools (say Harvard since Grace thinks she’s special for taking their cash grab) no one takes you seriously if you studied music.

I went to an upper average state school and studied business, I had played an instrument since I was 8 so I would take music courses to boost my GPA🤣. Yes music majors work hard and practice a lot but that degree (at least here) does not compare in difficulty to any business, science, engineering, math, etc. degree.

I even had lots of friends from high school band apply to great schools for music but then pick up a second major in something they could use to build a career. For example I had a friend go to NYU for music then he picked up a psychology degree there too, after he graduated he used his psyc degree to go to law school.

Grace acts so prestigious because she went to Oxford, but she looks like a 🤡 bragging about her “masters” in music.

She won't even have a MA in music like she said when she graduated unless she applies (which she will) and it won't actually be a master's degree, just a title to put after her name that she didn't earn.

I can't even bring myself to watch the day in a life video because I see it on twitter and Instagram all day anyway. I think she really does believe that her 'girl boss' persona is genuinely hard work. Unfortunately when you come from that kind of wealth you will never understand true hard work. You will never know small start-up business owners not even paying themselves a wage because they are so concerned about the health of the business.

In regards to someone saying she used to eat at pret etc all the time because her halls didn't have a kitchen... every halls has some form of kitchen, even if they are vile. I fail to believe her parents, who have no issues with cash flow, would send their daughter to a university as prestigious as Oxford to live without a kitchen. She ate pret because she could afford to eat pret. Not 25p noodle sandwiches like the rest of us hahaha!
Not defending her at all but some Oxford colleges genuinely don't have a kitchen. If I remember correctly, it's to force people to socialise in the main dining halls but i'm not too certain about the reason behind it.

Didn't Grace say a few months ago that she was comfortable and confident in her "thicker body", but in her most recent IG story she's saying she "doesn't want to put weight on"? She wants to build "shape", whatever the hell that means. I'm massively into fitness myself, but she chats some absolute rit. She cannot be doing her own workout guides whilst trying to gain muscle, her guides are aimed at beginners at most, she's been in the fitness industry for months now?

I swear her entire public appearance is just a facade at this point, she goes back on what she's said so many times.

She’s leaner than she has been for quite some time, so I find it interesting that she’s just now mentioning feeling uncomfortable about gaining weight... definitely seems disingenuous when all that time she was like *i LoVe My ThIcC tHiGhS, mOrE oF mE tO hAnDlE*

She's now posted a day in the life summary on her own Instagram feed, clearly wasn't all that happy with how the Hello one portrayed her.

It's long so I've whacked it in a spoiler
7.30am: wake up in the mornin feelin like p diddy! this is a fun work from home luxury lie in, sometimes I even push it to 8.30 (I know calm down grace). I wake up to a radio alarm which is nice because it slowly helps you realise that ur alive and the world exists
8am: workout! I do a really short 20 minute session and hardly ever longer than this - this helps me focus (working out gets my brain going so if I’m not careful I end up writing some sort of project on my phone instead of training), it also helps me not burn out
8.30am: I end the workout with a 2 min plank which is the first time I go on my phone if I’m being good (spoiler alert: this has a low success rate). very aware I sound like a psychopath rn. Head upstairs to shower & change into something presentable on my top half #zoomlyf
9am: another coffee & plan my week - I split my to do list into quick ticks, emails/messages, tasks & projects. This helps me stay on top of everything without getting overwhelmed, and helps me time block to work on projects rather than just ticking off quantity rather than quality. I try to keep this as skeletal as poss at this point in the week. I then had around 30 mins to do some quick ticks & respond to messages
9.50am: briefing call for 10am
10am: recruiter call for some roles at @wearetala - time to get scaling baby!
11am: approvals: I receive 2 approval emails per day split into quick approvals & projects which can be anything from approving collection designs, to app updates to PR interviews. I still approve the large majority of movement at both TALA and @shreddy (incl. @b_ndstore), so this makes movement a lot more succinct & allows the teams freedom to operate whilst still enabling me to be a lil bit of a control freak. Other things done before füd inclüd
* Sent out emails - shreddy post-challenge plans, review of the new Condé Nast Sustainable Fashion Glossary & and a summary of how covid-19 has highlighted irresponsible business practices in fashion, and the ways the industry could change going forwards - sent to team TALA
* Looked at rewiringfashion.org, a very interesting analysis of how the fashion industry should look re sustainability and its calendar - again, sent in write up to team TALA
12.30pm: made me some truffle mushrooms on a bagel for breakfast (weirdly boujie but truffle oil addict) - I don’t intentionally intermittently fast but it helps me to regulate my funky blood sugar for longer in the day & I’m most productive in the morning so I get distracted with work. In my lunch break I watched some youtube (some days trashy some days interesting financial/business - depends on my mood)
1.30pm: prep for 2pm call and sent out a few more emails based around my project approvals
2pm: weekly call with the whole of TALA HQ where we touch base on eeeeverything
3pm: ticking things off: a quick touch base call here and there, review of a few samples, actually no clue what else I did in this time. Definitely ate a chocolate bar. Should have taken a longer lunch break because brain was too fried at this point - had a little music loud boogie round the kitchen to help
3.45pm: prep for my call & made a coffee, ate another chocolate bar
4pm: call with TALA operations & creative about future collection plans and release structures
5pm: called a TALA partner for an update chat following this Harvard business course I’ve been doing - needed to discuss website updates and release plans from previous call, then reviewed next B_ND restock plan
6pm: TALA team quiz! Rescheduled from last week
7pm: dog walk
8pm: collapse on sofa for trashy tv and dinner

She's also clearly picked a day she has more "meetings". Didn't she say at one point she only worked three days a week as well? And I hate the way she writes, she's very immature in the tone she uses.
