I swear Tala used to be so diverse with the models they used? I just looked on their website for the first time in years because I wanted to compare prices of another brand, and I’m shocked at how much it’s changed. All the models are really slim - even the “curvy” girls are slim. Couldn’t see a single mid size or plus size model. Granted, I only looked at a couple of pages of sports bras. Very disappointed though.

It's actually gone backward so much, it was always a bit like that imo but seems to be bizarre when other brands are going int be opposite direction (understandably) and becoming more inclusive etc. Ditto the fact that most of their stuff seems just to look good rather than really work out
Agreed!! It’s like, let’s use bigger bodies and endorse body positivity to gain popularity as being an inclusive brand until skinnytok and Pilates princess is trending and only showing slim bodies to sell into that aesthetic ALL whilst trying to sell health and wellness. Money > actual inclusivity. Along with her greenwashing, it’s another example of fake activism.
I may have too much time on my hands, but I did a deep dive in tala’s Instagram, and I scrolled all the way back to early 2024 to find a model you’d consider mid-size. And even then, they are few and far between.
I'm sure at one point there was a TALA social media manager position for like 24-25k. I think this was a few years ago but even then that seemed so low - especially as I think in the description, they were basically expecting them to do everything (graphics, video editing, analytics, responding to comments online etc). I think the ex-social media manager may have even come out at one point and said it wasn't a good place to work.
And even then they tend to be (iirc) with small waists and big bums or boobs. Thr whole brand is just shallow

So I suppose they are planning to shill Tala on their website but not sure it fits in with the other high end designer products on their site (things like Prada, bottega etc)
Bit of an odd one to me tbh! Also feel like it doesn’t really align with Greg’s political leanings to be getting in the UAE/ Saudi pockets

I think her true political leaning is anything that brings her the most money!
I think this is probably to do with the losses, shareholders are risk averse so when they posted losses, they would have said play safe, boring, stick with skinny white girls because we know that creates sales, can't afford to be experimental in case it fails and they lose more
