I do think it's mostly other celebs donating though. I saw Steven Spielberg donated $25k. It is a bit of joke how much money they've raised. No disrespect to his wife but she doesn't need to keep homeschooling forevermore - her kids could go to regular school and she could get a job eventually like any regular mum in that situation would have to do. Plus they owned more than one property so thats a guaranteed income since they rent it out.
Wow multiple homes….sounding a bit Kate Garraway ish in the sense that they don’t want to loose their 2nd or 3rd home to pay care costs. Take it they had no life or medical insurance?
edit - Just read a hello article…they left their LA 4 million home(now rented out) and bought a beautiful large ranch in Austin Texas during covid.

It never ceases to amaze me what people will donate to.
There’s a person in tiktok (they’ve had desecration accounts) and they have a go fund me for their new life in Thailand. They even admitted their tactic which is ‘everyone loves a sob story’ and goes live and essentially asks people to share their GFM link etc and using a newborn for the sympathy vote. I can’t get over how people still fall for this after all the information online, documentaries and even the people themselves are giving out their plan

I still think 1.5 million is an insane amount given how many 'regular' peoples gofundmes struggle to meet their (much smaller) goals, but I can see how his monthly income wouldn't be that much.
It's also pretty irresponsible to have 6 young kids and no life insurance.

Ok so they only owned 1 multi million pound house. The link above shows a regular flow of work ie 56 movies/series after Dawson Creek and 2 movies still to come out this year. I’m gonna take it they did have medical insurance also by the comments posted above.

Yeh they would’ve needed to take out the life insurance policy before the cancer diagnosis
But surely because of his job and lifestyle you'd think he would be advised to get life insurance.
In the UK you can get life insurance after a cancer diagnosis, it's not as much as it would be if you was healthy getting it and the monthly payments are normally triple aswell. Not sure about USA though
