Young lad on his first ever boys trip abroad and has no travel insurance family giving no more details other than he was in a serious accident but want the bills covered with a GFM.

I totally get he’s a grown man but my sons ages with him and I’ve always took the responsibility of booking his travel insurance before he’s went on any holiday without me. Maybe I’m too over protective but I’d rather be safe than sorry

I agree that insurance should be a legal requirement, but the problem is most people will always go for the cheapest possible, not read the T&Cs for any exclusions and not fully declare existing health conditions (if applicable) and GoFundMe will keep popping up saying how unfair the insurance companies are.

Insurance companies are wicks, but do your due diligence.

They also don’t check that insurance covers them for the specific activity they’re doing especially if it’s high risk.

No sympathy for these people at all. The sheer nerve of them expecting the rest of the world to fund their cheek. The rest of us have to do things like insurance properly, why are you so bleeping special?

Thing is, nothing will change if people just stump the money up like they do. Bet he was on a moped with no helmet.

It should be a legal requirement to have insurance if you're travelling anywhere overseas.

I can't believe what people will give money to.

You get people on TikTok demanding donations and act like they are doing their audience a favour in demanding their money... and morons pay them.

People are nuts and weird.
