Catching up this evening. I'm a Celeste fan but she sounds off here?
I was really disappointed! She was so much better in 2022, she played an afternoon slot on west holts.
I watched a bit of her set and she seemed hacked off to me
I think this is the 1st year I've not bothered to watch any of the performances, was going to watch Scissor Sisters but the link didn't work, then @monga basically said they was rit so I didn't bother on catch-up

Caught up with Olivia Rodrigo's set yesterday. I am way, way out of her target demographic but I was interested to see what the fuss was about and why some reviewers were saying she was had the best performance of the weekend. Thought I would only watch a couple of songs but in the end I watched the whole thing and was really impressed. Liked the variation in styles and that she can actually write a decent melody when she wants to. Also appreciated that she properly writes her own material and can play and sing it well. Even more impressed with her stage presence. I thought she held the audience without the need of loads of pyrotechnics, lights etc. I can't say that I am a convert to her music but for once I can really see what the fuss was about. Now ... back to Neil Young.
I first went to Glasto in the early 90s when it cost me about £50 for the weekend. Bought the tickets in a shop at about Easter time and drove there on the Thursday to get there by middayish. Acts generally started on the Friday. The weather was baking, had a great time with my friends but there was certainly a lot of drugs being taken openly and it was easy to jump over the fence. Went regularly from then and by 2000 it was getting ridiculous with the numbers coming in without paying which is when the big fence came in and ticket prices went up a lot. Think it also coincided with far more TV coverage and it becoming much harder to get tickets.. I stopped going about 10 years ago as I'd had enough and prefer smaller events but usually watch a fair bit on the TV. However, as it was rarely about the headliners to me (loved walking around just dropping into the smaller stages etc and discovering things) it's never had the same vibe from home as you genuinely don't feel like it's the same event. They can't cover even a tiny percentage of what is going on and the press coverage of ones I've been at never displayed the festival I'd attended. Personally I though the line up was pants this year but I'm sure I'd have found things I enjoyed and whilst it's a big outlay, per act it's incredibly good value. Worth also noting that for people with kids, the kid's field is an amazing experience and, to my knowledge, never shown on TV.

. Managed to see at least 20 acts and wondered around everywhere on the wed and thurs. Fab value for money for who I saw! My top 3 were Wolf Alice, Pulp and Shed Seven but also loved The Prodigy, Neil Young, The Kaiser Chiefs, Supergrass, Lola Young, Raye, Snow Patrol and more I can name! I feel sad it’s over and can’t wait til 2027, when hopefully I’ll be able to get a ticket!

Yep, still watching! Caught the full Amyl and The Sniffers set the other night and watched St Vincent last night. My 8 year old daughter has become obsessed with Alanis Morrissette, Beabadoobee and Robert Smith since watching!
