Smutty words? He told a young colleague that he wanted to bend her over a counter and fuck her up the arse. In front of a room full of people. Do you think this is acceptable ‘banter’? In the workplace? If so, you have a serious problem.
No I certainly do not think that is acceptable. I think I was a bit quick off the mark to defend him. I had only seen a couple of clips with tame comments so I take it all back. It's bloody disgusting that men like him get away with this behaviour.
Kim Woodburn has just given him a right tongue lashing in The Sun. She said she can say what she likes, the truth, as she has nothing to lose as her working life is over unlike younger women. You really can't believe what he got away with in I'm a Celeb. it is disgusting and because of ITV not taking him out of there he went on to win it. She and others were furious. I can’t link it but worth a read.
He gives me the absolute ick. Hiding his lechery behind his fake Italian accent
What he said to that colleague was disgusting and he should have been disciplined for that alone.
It’s always women of a certain age who defend this kind of behaviour as well. ‘Oh it was fine in my day’, well yeah because you had been conditoned to think that and carry a shitload of internalised misogyny
I am not ultra sensitive to crude jokes etc - quite the opposite, but I have always despised him. What excuse did he offer for breaking into peoples homes and stealing their personal possessions? An absolute twat does that.
I’m team Paul Young.
God no. Apparently the pizza is amazing, the best in the world. That’s about it though. It’s also in the shadow of Vesuvius which destroyed Pompeii and will probably destroy Naples one day as well. Someone on one of the other threads said Gino had to leave Naples after he’d got on the wrong side of a gang (Mafia I’m assuming). He committed quite a few burglaries here and always had a calling card of dropping fag ash and treading it into carpets, but the police couldn’t pin it on him like they could the one on Paul Young’s house. Just a wrong un by the sounds of things.

And she told KP straight in the same series .. I love her bet she’s bloody hard to live with though
I too always felt a visceral ick whenever he was on tv, just knew he was a fake and a wrongun. I want to know how put on his accent is
The whole ‘as a father of daughters’ thing is ridiculous. We’re meant to hold him up as an example of a good guy because he respects women he’s related to? I know I’m being flippant but that whole attitude really annoys me (society in general, not previous posters!).
I remember thinking a while back that something was up with him for a couple of reasons. He kept popping up over-explaining why he was no longer doing the Gordon/Fred thing, some crap that it was too difficult with everyone's schedules, it made the contracts too complicated and because he valued his friendship with them he bowed out.
A while before he was given a warning by UK Border Force when sniffer dogs found cannabis in his luggage when he flew into Farnborough Airport with Fred and Gordon, on the latter's private jet after filming in Spain: "Officers accepted it was for his own medicinal use - not intended for anybody else -and issued him with a warning. Gino was stopped, cautioned and fined for possession of a prohibitive substance, namely cannabis." He wouldn't have risked that on a commercial flight but presumably thought he'd get away with it flying private, so arrogant and entitled. With his previous criminal record (two years in prison for burglary and handling stolen goods) you'd think they'd be tougher on him.
And there was a more recent interview where he said he now spends most of time in his home in Sicily or Sardinia, wherever, as most of his work is now writing cookbooks (who buys his basic-bitch recipes?) - methinks he wanted to keep his head down knowing things were brewing back in Blighty.
Was celebrity juice itv as well? ITV definitely encouraged the double entendres, flirting and crudeness in an apparently daytime family show… I can’t believe everyone found it hilarious he showed his arae at that time of the morning, and when philth and holly turned up still drunk fuck the lot of them. Don’t get me started on loose women either that’s a cess pit and always has been (and full of has beens and lecherous old women)
I remember reading a while back that someone overheard him in a restaurant and said while he does have an accent, it wasn't as strong as what he puts on when being filmed, so yeah, 'Our Cilla' all over again.
Gordon Ramsey is a misogynist too. He publicly declared several times that he refused to be in the delivery room with his wife while she gave birth to his many children, as he didn’t want to be turned off having sex with her afterwards.
Saw the news wow what a disgusting prick- sounds like karma has been a long time coming- good for those who have spoken out- I don’t watch his programmes usually but Family Fortunes was always a favourite of mine and he made a complete fuck up of that- bring back Les or Vern I say
Spot on with the boys club! And then the people associated with them suddenly plant a story about how uncomfortable they felt. John Torode was the same. Why didn’t you speak up then…? Holly is also just as bad imo as she seems to be involved in a lot of these situations and didn’t do a thing
As I said yesterday, I definitely think GR’s team have gone into full on distancing mode.
But it beggars belief that Gino is seemingly unable to differentiate between the “cheeky chappy” act which he says ITV encouraged and the vulgar and disgusting behaviour such as his comment to “Hannah”
This has clearly been brewing for a while, and is yet another case of a TV company protecting a money earner and sweeping things under the carpet until they can’t be hidden any more.
A crew member on set in Italy took very badly ill suddenly. It was obvious to those on set that the man needed to go to hospital, but the prick allegedly said "send him back like an Amazon parcel...people live and die...I don't care about him". This was recounted by Sue Fowler, the most senior production member on the location.
Does anybody else think ITV have a bit of a brass neck to have asked its news unit to do the Gino investigation after the way the network conducted itself regarding Schofield
It isn't fooling anyone this sudden desperation to clean up the channel, 's act
Probably got there first before a competitor dug deeper and exposed something even bigger
