Absolutely brilliant, watched it earlier and some proper laugh out moments, it was excellent!! I want to watch it again now! We were only in a small screen at our cinema but it was about half full. Lots of families - kids with parents and even grandparents - which was lovely to see!

Just got in from seeing the film...I wanna go again! Absolutely brilliant with some real laugh out loud moments. We went to our local vintage cinema and expected to be the only ones in there but there were about 30 people which is a really good turnout! Even Mr Electric who isn't much of a fan of the TV show admitted how good it was.

Oh I didn't know there was a Ghosts thread! I love the series so much and rewatch frequently although the last episode makes me blub every single time. I have been so excited for the film and we went earlier, so good so so so good! I love that troupe so much

Can I also just say, what an amazing supporting cast. The young kids cast in this did an amazing job. I have a home alone moment next week again, it might be a repeat trip to see the film again!

The young actors were absolutely brilliant! They had - what - a matter of weeks/maybe a few months to get to know the quirks and mannerisms of characters the main cast created and lived with for 5 years. There wasn't one weak moment with them - oranyone, come to that. The silliness was spot-on, but the pathos was too. Hoping there's a sequel - that core team of 6 know themselves as writers and actors so well, and there are several behind the scenes youtube videos with them, including talking about how they knew they had hit on the right idea.

And now I'm going to watch all 5 series again from the beginning! (I may also be the sad nearly 60 year old who regularly watches the old HH songs this cast did on youtube too - and if you haven't seen their turn at the Proms from 2013, thats brilliant, too, and also on youtube!!

And yes, such a range of ages and generations at our cinema on a rainy, windy and miserable Saturday afternoon, all laughing and enjoying a film that was a perfect big outing for Ghosts. We, too, are going again on Friday or Saturday 😍

I'm sad its not on TV. If it was I would have watched it again already 😄
I'm still laughing about Kitty tasering a policeman

1 criticism in the Film plot was mike and dropping the baby - it was random, as if just to give Mike a few lines to speak & something to do😆 "

Yes my only criticism of the film would be that
Mike was very sidelined and we didn't have more of him talking to the ghosts when they had bodies.

How lovely! It does sound a perfect cosy treat. I'm looking forward to seeing it next week. Without OH as he winds me up in the cinema 😂 Too hot, too cold, can't understand what they're saying as they're mumbling, needs the toilet. Honestly it's like being with a toddler.

I absolutely loved it! I think it took a little while to get going, but once
Julian/Jack left the house and the other kids got possessed,
it really took off!

I completely agree about the kids, they were brilliant and absolutely nailed the characters’ mannerisms. It felt like a long TV special and was far superior to the last TV episode. It was genuinely heartwarming, and I found myself switching between being teary eyed and absolutely howling with laughter. 😂

My standout favourite moments were:
- Julian getting the homeless man to buy his fags, then hiding around the corner 🤣
- The train conductor being a ghost.
- Robin doing a wheelie while Thomas struggled to stay afloat.
- The Captain going around the roundabout twice.
- Pat stealing the police car and being chased down by the cops.
- Kitty tasering the police officer (TWICE)! 🤣
- fan mooning the police officer

Honestly, there were so many brilliant moments. I want another one!

I'm a terrible party pooper, but me and my friend just for back from seeing it and rated it just 'OK'.

We were a bit disappointed, tbh 😔

But glad to hear it's gone down well with so many others.

Went on Sunday with Mr Giraffe and we both really enjoyed outselves, generally silly but some really moving bits too, was a bit worried it wouldn't live up the series but wasn't disappointed at all.

Saw it this afternoon and absolutely loved it, first time going to the cinema on my own and it was brilliant no arguments about what film to see or snacks to have, no one crunching in my ear think it’s the most relaxing cinema trip I’ve ever had and I loved the film only criticism is I would’ve liked Mike to have had more interaction with the ghosts when he could talk to them. Wonder if the Mike dropping Mia storyline is an Easter egg for Mia to be able to see the ghosts in maybe a future film? I only went into town as I had a training course for work but idiot me didn’t see the email cancelling it due to the weather warning so ended up in the cinema as the rain was too bad to drive home.

I had never seen this untill this week, I'm half way though season 2.

Im going to make a confession here because I can but I have always thought Mark gattis and Simon Farnaby were the same actor. Years of watching horrible histories and yonder land and though Simon was Mark 🫣🫣

I love going to the pictures on my own! It's such a treat. As I said before my beloved OH can be so bloody annoying when we're there 😩
Still haven't seen Ghosts - aiming for Thursday.
